ZTE Nubia Flip 3

The ZTE Nubia Flip 3 features a foldable design with dimensions of 170 x 76 mm and a slim 7.5 mm thickness, occupying a total volume of 96.9 cm³ and weighing 187 g. It carries an IP54 rating, meaning it offers protection against water splashes and dust, though it does not have a fully rugged build.

The ZTE Nubia Flip 3 uses an OLED/AMOLED touchscreen measuring 6.9″ with a resolution of 1188 x 2790 pixels and a pixel density of 439 ppi, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth on-screen motion. The device also includes a secondary screen sharing the same 1188 x 2790 px resolution. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and the Always-On Display feature is absent, nor does it include branded damage-resistant glass.

The ZTE Nubia Flip 3 is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset, built on a 4 nm process with 6,200 million transistors and an eight-thread CPU configured in a big.LITTLE arrangement running at 4 x 2.6 GHz and 4 x 2 GHz, with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing also supported. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G615 MC2 GPU, clocked at 1047 MHz with support for DirectX 12 and up to two simultaneous displays. The device ships with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 6400 MHz — expandable up to a maximum of 16 GB — alongside 256 GB of internal storage, while memory bandwidth reaches 25.6 GB/s. The SoC supports 64-bit processing and includes integrated LTE.

The ZTE Nubia Flip 3 features a dual-lens rear camera system with 50 MP and 12 MP sensors built on a CMOS architecture, capable of recording 4K video at 30 fps with continuous autofocus and slow-motion support, though optical image stabilization and optical zoom are not available. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus, while manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance; manual shutter speed, however, is not supported. The camera also handles HDR stills, burst shots, panoramas, and timelapse, and is backed by a single LED flash without dual-tone or RGB capability. On the front, a 32 MP single-lens camera is present without a dedicated flash or under-display placement. HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported, nor is RAW output or 3D capture.

The ZTE Nubia Flip 3 runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering location access, camera and microphone permissions, clipboard warnings, and app tracking blocking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. Personalization options include dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, and widget support, while productivity is aided by split-screen multitasking, picture-in-picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. The system supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, and voice commands, alongside multi-user functionality, a child lock, app offloading, battery health checks, an extra dim mode, phone tracking, and customizable notifications. OS updates do not come directly from the vendor, and focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, and Quick Start are not available.

The ZTE Nubia Flip 3 is equipped with a 4610 mAh rechargeable battery that is not user-removable. It supports 33W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box, though wireless charging is not available. A battery level indicator is present to keep track of remaining charge.

The ZTE Nubia Flip 3 includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack and does not have a built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec options are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC.

The ZTE Nubia Flip 3 supports 5G connectivity and is compatible with Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6, alongside Bluetooth 6 and NFC. It accommodates one physical SIM and one eSIM, connects via USB Type-C, and includes a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, though 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are absent. Navigation is covered by GPS with Galileo support, and onboard sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass, while a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking are not present. External memory expansion, HDMI output, DLNA certification, ANT+ support, satellite SOS, crash detection, and a built-in projector are likewise not featured.

The ZTE Nubia Flip 3 includes a video light for use during video recording, while the display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor e-paper technology.
