The ZTE Nubia Focus Pro 5G has a straightforward, non-folding design without any rugged certification or water resistance rating. It measures 166 mm tall, 76.1 mm wide, and 8.5 mm thick, giving it a slim enough profile for a device of this screen size. The total volume comes in at 107.38 cm³, and the phone tips the scales at 222 g, which places it on the heavier side for a smartphone in this form factor.

The ZTE Nubia Focus Pro 5G features a 6.72-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a 1080 x 2400 px resolution and a pixel density of 392 ppi, delivering a reasonably sharp visual experience for its size. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which contributes to smoother on-screen motion during scrolling and general use. However, it lacks branded damage-resistant glass, an Always-On Display mode, and does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, nor does it include a secondary screen.

The ZTE Nubia Focus Pro 5G is powered by the Unisoc Tanggula T760, a 7 nm octa-core chipset using big.LITTLE architecture with four cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and four at 1.8 GHz across 8 threads, paired with a Mali-G57 GPU running at up to 650 MHz turbo. The device comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz across two memory channels and 256GB of internal storage, with a maximum supported memory amount of 32GB, though ECC memory is not supported. Integrated graphics handle visual processing alongside DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2 support, while integrated LTE, TrustZone security, and 64-bit computing are all present. In benchmarks, the chipset achieves an AnTuTu score of 423,297 and Geekbench 5 results of 541 single-core and 2155 multi-core.

The ZTE Nubia Focus Pro 5G features a single-lens rear camera with a 108 MP CMOS sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, backed by optical image stabilization and phase-detection autofocus for stills, along with continuous autofocus during video recording. It captures video at up to 2160p at 30 fps, supports slow-motion recording, and includes a timelapse function, though HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not available, and there is no optical zoom. A single LED flash is present on the rear, while the front houses a 32 MP single-lens camera without a flash or under-display placement. Manual controls extend to ISO, exposure, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, touch autofocus, HDR, and in-camera panoramas are all supported; however, manual shutter speed control, laser autofocus, RAW shooting, and 3D or 360-degree capture are absent.

The ZTE Nubia Focus Pro 5G runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering location access, camera and microphone permissions, clipboard warnings, and app tracking blocking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the usability side, it supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications, a media picker, full-page screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, a child lock, and multi-user functionality. The OS also offers on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, device tracking, an extra dim mode, battery health check, and the ability to play games while they download. Features absent include focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, app offloading, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The ZTE Nubia Focus Pro 5G is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 33W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, making it straightforward to monitor remaining charge at a glance. Wireless charging is not supported.

The ZTE Nubia Focus Pro 5G includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack, so wired headphones would require an adapter. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codecs are supported — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent. There is no built-in radio either.

The ZTE Nubia Focus Pro 5G supports 5G connectivity alongside dual SIM capability, Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5, NFC, and a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, while HDMI output and DLNA certification are not included. For navigation and positioning, it features GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer, though a barometer, heart rate monitor, infrared sensor, and motion or optical tracking are all absent. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. The device does not include a stylus, satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, ANT+ support, or a built-in projector.

The ZTE Nubia Focus Pro 5G includes a video light for use during video recording, while the display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
