ZTE Nubia Z60 Ultra

The ZTE Nubia Z60 Ultra has an IP68 waterproof rating, meaning it is fully sealed against dust and capable of withstanding submersion in water. It measures 163.9 mm tall, 76.3 mm wide, and 8.3 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 103.8 cm³ and a weight of 230 g. The device is a standard candybar form factor — it does not fold and is not built to a rugged specification.

The device features a 6.8-inch OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1116 x 2480 px at 400 ppi, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 960Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input. Brightness is rated at 1500 nits, and the display supports both HDR10 and HDR10+, as well as an Always-On Display mode. Dolby Vision is not supported, there is no secondary screen, and the panel does not use branded damage-resistant glass.

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, built on a 4nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration using big.LITTLE and HMP architecture, with core speeds spanning from 2.26GHz up to 3.3GHz. It is paired with 24GB of DDR5 RAM at 4800MHz across two channels, delivering a maximum memory bandwidth of 76.6 GB/s, and 1024GB of internal storage. The Adreno 750 GPU runs at 900MHz with 3 execution units, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. In benchmarks, the chipset scores 1,987,588 on AnTuTu, 7325 multi-core and 2213 single-core on Geekbench 6, 18,216 on 3DMark Wild Life, and 20,145 on PCMark Work 3.0 performance, with the battery endurance test logging 767 minutes. The SoC has a 12.5W TDP, includes integrated LTE, TrustZone security, and 12MB of L3 cache.

The rear camera system uses three CMOS sensors with resolutions of 64MP, 50MP, and 50MP, paired with apertures of f/3.3, f/1.6, and f/1.8 respectively, along with optical image stabilization and 3.3x optical zoom. Video recording reaches up to 8K at 30fps, and the system supports slow-motion recording, continuous autofocus during video, phase-detection autofocus for stills, and a dual-tone LED flash with four LEDs in total. Manual controls cover ISO, shutter speed, white balance, focus, and exposure, with additional shooting modes including HDR, burst, timelapse, and panorama — though 360-degree panorama, RAW capture, and 3D recording are not available. The 16MP under-display front camera shoots at f/2.0 and supports touch autofocus, but does not have its own flash and is a single-lens setup.

The device runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls covering camera and microphone access, location options, clipboard warnings, and app tracking blocking — though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are absent. Usability features include dark mode, extra dim mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, customizable notifications, full-page screenshots, split screen, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, a media picker, child lock, multi-user support, and the ability to play games while they download. On-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, and voice commands are all supported, as are sharing intents, Live Text, and device tracking. OS updates do not come directly from the vendor, and features such as focus modes, app offloading, Wi-Fi password sharing, and Quick Start are not available.

The device is equipped with a 6000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 80W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, but the battery is not removable and wireless charging is not supported.

Audio output is handled by stereo speakers, and the device includes three microphones for capture. There is no 3.5 mm headset jack and no FM radio. Wireless audio codec support is extensive, covering aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Lossless, though LDAC is not supported.

The device supports 5G cellular connectivity with dual SIM capability, download speeds up to 10,000 Mbits/s, and upload speeds up to 3,500 Mbits/s. Wi-Fi 7 is supported alongside Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3 is on board along with NFC and a USB 3.1 Type-C port. There is no external memory slot, no HDMI output, and no DLNA certification. Onboard sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, GPS with Galileo support, and an infrared sensor, while a fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication — 3D facial recognition, an iris scanner, barometer, heart rate monitor, and ANT+ support are all absent. Satellite SOS, crash detection, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are likewise not featured.

The device includes a video light for use during recording. The display is flat rather than curved, does not use sapphire glass, and there is no secondary e-paper screen.
