The panel is compatible with both HDR10 and Dolby Vision, though HDR10+ is not supported. There is no secondary screen, and the display does not use branded damage-resistant glass.

DLNA certification, ANT+ support, a heart rate monitor, HDMI output, motion tracking, optical tracking, an external memory slot, and a built-in projector are all absent.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max includes a video light for recording, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
