The BenQ TK705STi uses a laser light source rated for 20000 hours of standard operation, extending to 30000 hours in eco mode, which also reduces audible noise from 26 dB down to 24 dB. Operating power consumption is 250W. The unit measures 230 mm wide, 170 mm tall, and 250 mm deep, with a total volume of 9775 cm³ and a weight of 3800 g, giving it a relatively compact footprint for a 4K laser projector. It also supports a dedicated smartphone app for added control flexibility.
The TK705STi outputs at 4K resolution with a brightness of 3000 ANSI lumens and a 10-bit color depth, supporting HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG for broad high dynamic range compatibility. It has a refresh rate of 60Hz and a response time of 5 ms. The projector can display images up to 160″ from a minimum throw distance of 0.8 m, and focus is handled via motorized focus — manual focus is not available, nor is motorized zoom.
For wired connections, the TK705STi provides two HDMI ports and two USB ports, along with an S/PDIF output for digital audio; there are no RJ45, VGA, or DVI ports. On the wireless side, it includes Chromecast built-in and AirPlay for cable-free streaming, as well as Bluetooth — however, Wi-Fi and Miracast are not supported.
The TK705STi includes a built-in smart TV platform and comes with a remote control for navigation. Audio is handled by built-in stereo speakers delivering 2 x 8W of output power, and a 3.5 mm headset jack is available for private listening; there are no audio input ports. Neither vertical nor horizontal lens shift is supported, and the unit lacks both an external memory slot and voice command functionality.
