The Beyerdynamic Amiron Zero feature an open-ear fit and are fully wireless, with no cables or neckband design involved. They weigh just 12 g and include stereo speakers, keeping the physical profile light and straightforward. The earbuds carry an IP54 ingress protection rating, making them sweat resistant for use during physical activity. Wingtips are not included, and the design omits RGB lighting, a UV light, and a display, reflecting a functional, no-frills build.
The Amiron Zero covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20000 Hz, spanning the full standard audible spectrum. The earbuds do not include active noise cancellation or passive noise reduction, so they do not block out environmental sound. Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, and Dirac Virtuo are not supported, and the drivers do not use a neodymium magnet.
The Amiron Zero offers 6 hours of battery life per charge, with the charging case providing an additional 14 hours for a combined total of 20 hours. The rechargeable battery fully charges in 1 hour, and a battery level indicator is included to keep track of remaining power. Wireless charging is not supported, nor is solar charging, so the earbuds rely solely on wired charging via the case.
The Amiron Zero connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 m, and supports the AAC codec for audio transmission. USB Type-C is available for wired charging. NFC pairing and Bluetooth LE Audio are not supported, and the earbuds do not include any aptX variants — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice. LDAC, LDHC, and Auracast are likewise absent from the connectivity feature set.
The Amiron Zero supports fast charging and includes a find-device feature, a mute function, voice prompts, and an on-device control panel, making day-to-day use fairly straightforward. The earbuds can also be used as a headset and come packaged with a travel bag. Ambient sound mode, notification reading, a built-in translator, an in-line control panel, a body temperature sensor, and a camera remote control function are all absent from the feature set.
The Amiron Zero is equipped with 4 microphones, and the setup includes noise-canceling microphone functionality to help reduce unwanted background sound during calls or voice use.
