The boAt Nirvana X adopt a true wireless, in-ear fit with no cables or neckband connecting the two earbuds. They carry an IPX5 ingress protection rating, meaning they are water resistant and can handle splashes and sweat without issue. The earbuds deliver stereo sound output and include no additional design features such as wingtips, RGB lighting, a UV light, or an onboard display.
The boAt Nirvana X use a 10 mm driver unit and cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. They rely on passive noise reduction through the in-ear fit rather than active noise cancellation, which is not supported. The earbuds do not include spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, Dirac Virtuo processing, or a neodymium magnet.
The boAt Nirvana X offer 8 hours of battery life per charge, with the included charging case extending total usage to 32 hours. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and the earbuds support fast charging. A battery level indicator is present, and the battery is rechargeable. Wireless charging and solar power are not supported.
The boAt Nirvana X connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 meters and an audio latency of 60 ms. Supported audio codecs include LDAC and AAC, while aptX in its various forms — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — as well as LDHC and Bluetooth LE Audio are not supported. Fast pairing is available for quick device setup, though NFC pairing and Auracast are absent. The charging case uses USB Type-C, and the earbuds can operate wirelessly without any wired connection.
The boAt Nirvana X support multipoint connection to two devices simultaneously and include in-ear detection that can automatically pause playback when an earbud is removed. Fast charging is supported, and the earbuds can function as a headset for calls, aided by a mute function and voice prompts for audio feedback. Controls are handled via a panel on the device itself rather than an in-line panel on a cable. A travel bag is included in the box. Ambient sound mode, notification readout, a body temperature sensor, and a camera remote shutter function are not available.
The boAt Nirvana X are equipped with four microphones that include noise-canceling capability, helping to reduce unwanted background sound during calls and voice input.
