Coolpad X100

The Coolpad X100 has a height of 169 mm and a width of 76.3 mm, with a thickness of 8.6 mm and a total volume of approximately 110.89 cm³. It weighs 213 g, placing it on the heavier side for a device of its dimensions. The phone does not feature a rugged build or a folding form factor, and it offers no water resistance.

The Coolpad X100 uses an LCD IPS panel measuring 6.78 inches, delivering a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels at a pixel density of 396 ppi. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and includes touch screen functionality. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen. The screen also lacks branded damage-resistant glass.

The Coolpad X100 is powered by the Mediatek Helio G99 chipset, built on a 6 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at 2 x 2.2 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE technology with HMP support. It comes with 12GB of LPDDR4 RAM at 4266 MHz and 512GB of eMMC 5.2 internal storage, with a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.1 GB/s across two memory channels. Graphics are handled by the Mali G57 GPU clocked at 950 MHz with a turbo frequency of 2133 MHz, 32 shading units, integrated graphics support, DirectX 11, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2 compatibility, with support for up to two displays. The SoC integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing, and includes TrustZone security, with a thermal design power of 5W and a maximum CPU temperature of 95°C. Geekbench 6 scores come in at 729 single-core and 1979 multi-core.

The Coolpad X100 features a triple rear camera system with 108MP, 5MP, and 2MP sensors, backed by a single LED flash and phase-detection autofocus for stills, along with continuous autofocus during video recording. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while additional shooting modes include HDR, burst, panorama, slow-motion video, and timelapse. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, with no support for HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording. Optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, optical zoom, manual shutter speed, and RAW capture are not available, and the rear flash is a single LED unit without dual-tone or RGB configurations. On the front, a 32MP single-lens camera with an f/2 aperture handles selfies, though it lacks its own flash and is not positioned under the display.

The Coolpad X100 runs Android 14 and includes a solid set of privacy features such as clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. Customization options cover dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, customizable notifications, and widget support, while productivity is aided by split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. The OS supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, phone tracking, multi-user functionality, and a child lock. Battery health checks and an extra dim mode are also included. Focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, app offloading, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC are not supported, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Coolpad X100 is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 33W fast charging, and a battery level indicator is available to keep track of remaining charge. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Coolpad X100 includes stereo speakers but does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. On the wireless audio side, it lacks support for aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC, meaning high-resolution and enhanced Bluetooth audio codecs are not available on this device.

The Coolpad X100 supports Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC, while 5G is not available — the device operates on LTE via its cellular module. It accommodates two SIM cards and includes an external memory slot for storage expansion. The USB Type-C port runs on USB 2.0, and there is no HDMI output. Download speeds reach up to 650 Mbit/s with upload speeds of 150 Mbit/s. For navigation and sensors, the phone includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer, though a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking are absent. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. Features such as satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, ANT+ support, DLNA certification, a stylus, and a built-in projector are also not included.

The Coolpad X100 includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and it does not use sapphire glass or an e-paper panel.
