The JMGO PicoPlay measures 170 mm wide, 80 mm tall, and 80 mm thick, with a total volume of 1088 cm³ and a weight of 1000 g, making it a reasonably compact unit. It does not use a laser light source, relying instead on a conventional lamp. A dedicated smartphone app is available for added control convenience, and the projector comes with a one-year warranty.
The JMGO PicoPlay outputs at 1080p resolution with an 8-bit color depth and supports HDR10, though it does not support HDR10+ or Dolby Vision. Focus is handled exclusively through a motorized mechanism, meaning neither manual focus nor motorized zoom are available. The maximum projection size reaches 200″, giving users a broad range of screen sizes to work with.
The JMGO PicoPlay offers a solid wireless connectivity lineup, including AirPlay, Chromecast built-in, and Miracast, alongside Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) support. Bluetooth 5.1 is also built in for peripheral pairing. On the wired side, there is one HDMI port and two USB ports, while VGA, DVI, S/PDIF, and RJ45 connections are not available.
The JMGO PicoPlay includes a built-in smart TV platform and comes with a remote control for navigation. Audio is handled by a single built-in speaker rated at 8W mono output — stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos are not supported, and there is no 3.5 mm headset jack for external audio. Lens shift, both vertical and horizontal, is absent, and the unit does not feature an external memory slot.
