The Maxsun eSport B850ITX WiFi Ice is built around the AM5 socket with a B850 chipset and adopts the compact Mini-ITX form factor, measuring 170 mm × 170 mm. It supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) along with older 802.11n and 802.11ac standards, and includes Bluetooth 5.2, though aptX audio is not supported. The board features a single CPU socket, RGB lighting, and an HDMI 1.4 output, while integrated graphics and an integrated CPU are absent. Practical reliability features include dual BIOS, an easy BIOS reset via a clear CMOS button, and straightforward overclocking support, all backed by a 3-year warranty.
This board supports DDR5 memory across two slots in a dual-channel configuration, with a maximum capacity of 96 GB. Standard RAM speeds top out at 5200 MHz, while overclocked profiles can reach up to 8000 MHz. ECC memory is not supported.
The rear I/O provides two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and four USB 2.0 ports for peripheral connectivity, while USB Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB 4, Thunderbolt, eSATA, and PS/2 ports are all absent. Display output is handled by one HDMI port and one DisplayPort, with no DVI or VGA connectors present. A single RJ45 port covers wired network connectivity.
Internal connectivity includes two M.2 sockets and two SATA 3 connectors for storage, while SATA 2 and U.2 sockets are not present, nor is an mSATA connector. USB expansion headers cover two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, and two additional USB 2.0 ports. The board also provides three fan headers and a TPM connector for security module support.
The board offers a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot as its only expansion option, accommodating one full-bandwidth add-in card. No PCIe 4.0, 3.0, or 2.0 x16 slots are present, and there are no PCIe x8, x4, or x1 slots, nor any legacy PCI slots, which is consistent with the board's compact Mini-ITX layout.
Audio output is handled through three analog audio connectors on the rear panel. A S/PDIF digital optical output is not included.
RAID 0+1 configuration is not supported on this board.
