The Nubia LiveClip adopts an open-ear fit and weighs just 9 g, keeping the overall form light and unobtrusive. It operates as a true wireless design with no cables or neckband connecting the two earbuds, and stereo speakers are present to deliver audio across both sides. Wingtips, RGB lighting, a UV light, and an onboard display are not part of the build.
The Nubia LiveClip uses a 10 mm driver unit and covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, spanning the full extent of standard human hearing. Neither active noise cancellation nor passive noise isolation is included, and the earbuds do not support spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, or Dirac Virtuo processing. A neodymium magnet is also not part of the driver configuration.
The Nubia LiveClip offers 5 hours of battery life per charge, with the charging case adding a further 15 hours for a combined total of 20 hours of use. The rechargeable battery takes 1 hour to fully charge, and a battery level indicator is on hand to keep track of remaining power. Wireless charging and solar power are not supported.
The Nubia LiveClip connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 m, and USB Type-C is used for wired charging. Fast pairing and NFC pairing are not available, and on the codec side, the earbuds do not support LDAC, LDHC, AAC, Auracast, Bluetooth LE Audio, or any variant of aptX including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice.
The Nubia LiveClip supports fast charging and can function as a headset, while a mute function, voice prompts, and a device-based control panel are all included. A travel bag comes in the box for storage and portability. The earbuds do not offer ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, a find device feature, notification readout, an in-line control panel, a body temperature sensor, or a built-in camera remote.
The Nubia LiveClip's microphone specifications list zero discrete microphones, while also indicating that a noise-canceling microphone capability is present.
