It carries an IP69 ingress protection rating, classifying it as waterproof with a rated depth tolerance of 1.5 m, making it resistant to water exposure in everyday conditions.

The OnePlus 15 features a 6.78″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1272 x 2772 px and a pixel density of 450 ppi, backed by branded damage-resistant glass and an Always-On Display mode. It runs at a 165Hz refresh rate with a touch sampling rate of 330Hz and a typical brightness of 800 nits. The display supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision for wide content compatibility, though there is no secondary screen.

The OnePlus 15 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC built on a 3 nm process, featuring an 8-thread CPU configured as 2 cores at 4.6 GHz and 6 cores at 3.62 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP, a TDP of 8.2W, and integrated LTE. It is paired with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5300 MHz across 2 memory channels with a maximum bandwidth of 85.1 GB/s, ECC memory support, and a maximum supported memory amount of 24 GB, alongside 1024 GB of internal storage. The Adreno 830 GPU clocks at 1200 MHz, supports 1536 shading units and up to 2 displays, and is compatible with DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 3, while the SoC also includes TrustZone, multithreading, 64-bit support, and a cache hierarchy of 192 KB L1, 12 MB L2, and 8 MB L3. Benchmark scores stand at 3,434,000 on AnTuTu, 11,199 on Geekbench 6 multi-core, and 3,726 on Geekbench 6 single-core.

The OnePlus 15 has a triple rear camera system, each lens at 50 MP with apertures of f/1.8, f/2.0, and f/2.8, a CMOS sensor, optical image stabilization, and a focal length range of 16 mm to 85 mm with 3.5x optical zoom. Autofocus options include phase-detection, laser, and touch autofocus with continuous autofocus during video recording, while manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available. The system supports RAW capture, HDR mode, burst mode, panorama, timelapse, slow-motion video, and 8K video recording at 30 fps with HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording, but does not offer 360° panorama or 3D photo and video capabilities. Flash is provided by 2 LED units that are not dual-tone and not RGB. The 32 MP single-lens front camera sits at an f/2.4 aperture in a standard position above the display — not under-screen — and has no dedicated flash.

The OnePlus 15 runs Android 16, a free and open-source multi-user operating system that supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and phone tracking. Privacy features include clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection, cross-site tracking blocking, and Wi-Fi password sharing are not available. On the usability side, the OS offers dark mode, extra dim mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications with notification permission controls, a media picker, Live Text, full-page screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, sharing intents, widgets, app offloading, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they download. Focus modes and Quick Start are not supported, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor, nor can it be used as a PC.

The OnePlus 15 houses a rechargeable 7300 mAh non-removable battery with a built-in level indicator and comes with a charger included in the box. Wired fast charging is supported at 120W, while wireless charging runs at 50W, and reverse wireless charging is also available at 10W.

The OnePlus 15 includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a built-in radio. For wireless audio, it supports aptX HD and aptX Adaptive, while standard aptX, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available.

The OnePlus 15 supports 5G and accommodates two SIM cards, with wireless connectivity covering Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 7 alongside Bluetooth 6 and NFC. Data transfer is handled via a USB Type-C 3.2 port, with download and upload speeds reaching 10,000 Mbits/s and 3,500 Mbits/s respectively, though there is no external memory slot, HDMI output, or DLNA certification. The device includes a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication but does not offer 3D facial recognition or an iris scanner, and no stylus is included. Onboard sensors cover GPS with Galileo support, a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, barometer, and infrared sensor, while a heart rate monitor, ANT+, motion tracking, optical tracking, crash detection, satellite SOS, and a built-in projector are all absent.

The OnePlus 15 includes a video light for use during video recording, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
