Oppo Find N5

The Oppo Find N5 uses an OLED/AMOLED touch panel as its primary display, spanning 8.12″ at a resolution of 2480 x 2248 px and a pixel density of 412 ppi, with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Typical brightness reaches 1400 nits, and the screen supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, though it does not offer an Always-On Display mode or branded damage-resistant glass. A secondary touch screen is also present, running at a resolution of 1140 x 2616 px.

The Oppo Find N5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on a 3 nm process with an 8-thread CPU running at 2 x 4.32 GHz and 6 x 3.53 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP and multithreading support, alongside a TDP of 8.2W. It pairs 16 GB of DDR5 RAM at 5300 MHz — with a maximum supported capacity of 24 GB — with 1024 GB of internal storage, a maximum memory bandwidth of 85.1 GB/s across 2 memory channels, and ECC memory support. Graphics are handled by the Adreno 830 GPU clocked at 1100 MHz with 1536 shading units, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 3, with integrated graphics capable of driving 2 displays. Cache configuration includes 192 KB L1, 12 MB L2, and 8 MB L3, and the chipset features integrated LTE and TrustZone security. In benchmarks, the device scores 2,274,385 on AnTuTu, 3,234 on Geekbench 6 single-core, and 10,059 on Geekbench 6 multi-core, while the 64-bit capable platform fully supports multithreading.

The Oppo Find N5 features a multi-lens rear camera system with three sensors at 50 MP (f/1.9), 50 MP (f/2.7), and 8 MP (f/2.2), supported by optical image stabilization, 3x optical zoom, and a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus for photos, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, while laser autofocus is not present. The main camera records video at 2160p at 60 fps with HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording support, and also handles slow-motion and timelapse capture; two flash LEDs are included, though neither an RGB flash nor a front-facing flash is available. For still photography, manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, with burst mode and in-camera panorama also on hand, though manual shutter speed and 360-degree panorama are not supported. The single front camera offers 8 MP at f/2.4, is not placed under the display, and does not feature a dual-lens arrangement or a front-facing flash.

The Oppo Find N5 runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not present. On the usability side, the OS supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, extra dim mode, customizable notifications, a media picker, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, sharing intents, full-page scrolling screenshots, Live Text, and the ability to play games while they download. It also accommodates multiple user accounts, a child lock, app offloading, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and device tracking, while Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC are not available. OS updates are not delivered directly by the platform vendor, and the platform is free and open source.

The Oppo Find N5 houses a rechargeable 5600 mAh battery with a battery level indicator, and supports fast wired charging at 80W as well as wireless charging at 50W. Reverse wireless charging is not available, and the battery is not removable.

The Oppo Find N5 includes stereo speakers and supports aptX and aptX HD Bluetooth audio codecs, while aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Oppo Find N5 supports 5G cellular connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with download speeds of up to 10,000 Mbits/s and upload speeds of up to 3,500 Mbits/s. Wireless connectivity spans Wi-Fi 4 through Wi-Fi 7 (802.11n/ac/ax/be) and Bluetooth 5.4, while wired connectivity is handled by a USB Type-C 3.1 port; there is no external memory slot, no HDMI output, and no DLNA certification. The device includes NFC, a fingerprint scanner, GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, infrared sensor, and emergency SOS via satellite, though it lacks a barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, crash detection, 3D facial recognition, iris scanner, and a built-in projector. Motion tracking, optical tracking, and a stylus are also not featured.

The Oppo Find N5 includes a video light, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
