It carries an IP68 ingress protection rating, classifying it as waterproof, though it does not feature a rugged build in the traditional sense.

The Oppo Reno14 features a 6.59″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1256 x 2760 px and a pixel density of 460 ppi, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for fluid on-screen motion. The display is protected by branded damage-resistant glass and supports an Always-On Display mode, though it does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no secondary screen present.

The Oppo Reno14 is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, built on a 4 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configured at 1 x 3.35 GHz, 3 x 3.2 GHz, and 4 x 2.2 GHz using big.LITTLE and HMP technologies. Graphics are handled by the Mali G615 MC6 GPU running at 1400 MHz, with support for DirectX 12, OpenCL 2, and integrated graphics. The SoC also integrates LTE and includes TrustZone and NX bit security features. The device comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 8533 MHz across 4 memory channels, a maximum memory bandwidth of 68.2 GB/s, a supported ceiling of 24 GB, and 1024 GB of internal storage, backed by a 4 MB L3 cache. Benchmark results show an AnTuTu score of 1,327,873, a Geekbench 6 single-core result of 1536, and a multi-core result of 4700.

The Oppo Reno14 sports a triple rear camera system with 50 MP (f/1.8), 50 MP (f/2.8), and 8 MP (f/2.2) sensors, all backed by a CMOS sensor, optical image stabilization, and 3.5x optical zoom. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus with continuous autofocus during video, though laser autofocus is absent. The main camera supports 4K video recording at 2160 x 60 fps, slow-motion capture, and timelapse, but does not record in HDR10 or Dolby Vision, and 3D recording is not available. A single LED flash is present on the rear, with no dual-tone or RGB flash. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while manual shutter speed is not supported; additional shooting modes include HDR, burst, and in-camera panorama, though 360° panoramas are not possible. The Oppo Reno14 runs Android 15 and includes a broad range of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera and microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. App tracking can be blocked, and on-device machine learning is supported. On the usability side, the OS offers dark mode, extra dim mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications with a media picker, full-page screenshots, Live Text, picture-in-picture, split-screen multitasking, widgets, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. App offloading, a child lock, multi-user support, phone tracking, offline voice recognition, and voice commands are also present, while focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, and Quick Start are not included. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not provided, and the device cannot be used as a PC.

The Oppo Reno14 is equipped with a 6000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 80W fast wired charging, and a battery level indicator is included for monitoring charge status. The battery is non-removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Oppo Reno14 features stereo speakers and supports both aptX and aptX HD for higher-quality Bluetooth audio, though aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Oppo Reno14 supports 5G connectivity alongside Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6, and accommodates two SIM cards with no external memory slot available.
