Oukitel C61

The Oukitel C61 has a fairly large footprint, measuring 170.7 mm tall, 79.6 mm wide, and 9.5 mm thick, with a total weight of 216 g. It is a conventional candybar-style handset — it neither folds nor carries a rugged certification — and comes with no water resistance rating of any kind.

The Oukitel C61 uses an IPS LCD touchscreen measuring 6.88″ with a resolution of 720 x 1640 px at 260 ppi, and the panel runs at a 90Hz refresh rate for somewhat smoother scrolling. It is protected by branded damage-resistant glass, though the display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen.

The Oukitel C61 is powered by the Unisoc T606, a 12nm octa-core chipset with all cores running at 1.6 GHz across an 8-thread big.LITTLE configuration with HMP support, paired with 4GB of DDR4 RAM at 1600 MHz and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage — expandable up to a maximum of 14GB of RAM and supported by a 12.8 GB/s memory bandwidth. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 MP1 GPU clocked at 650 MHz with 64 shading units, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2.0. The SoC also features integrated LTE, ARM TrustZone security, a 10W TDP, and cache arranged across 128 KB L1, 2 MB L2, and 1 MB L3 levels. In benchmarks, the chipset scores 1391 multi-core and 371 single-core in Geekbench 6, 1175 and 313 respectively in Geekbench 5, and a PassMark score of 2663 overall with 988 in the single-core test.

The Oukitel C61 features a single 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a CMOS sensor, supporting phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, though there is no optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, or BSI sensor. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while shooting modes include HDR, burst, panorama, slow-motion video, and timelapse; however, RAW capture, manual shutter speed, and 360° panorama are not available. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30fps, with no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording support, and the single LED flash has no dual-tone or RGB functionality. On the front, a 5MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture handles selfies — it is a single-lens unit with no dedicated flash and is not positioned under the display.

The Oukitel C61 runs Android 15 as a free and open-source operating system, and while it does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor and lacks Quick Start, it covers a broad range of usability and privacy features. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and app tracking prevention, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are absent. Customization options include dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, and customizable notifications, while productivity is supported through split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. The system also includes on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, live text selection, app offloading, a child lock, multi-user support, phone tracking, battery health check, and an extra dim display mode, with focus modes and Wi-Fi password sharing notably absent.

The Oukitel C61 is equipped with a 5150 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 10W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. The battery is non-removable and features a battery level indicator, but neither wireless charging nor reverse wireless charging are supported.

The Oukitel C61's audio setup is fairly minimal — there is no 3.5mm headphone jack and no stereo speaker configuration. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codecs are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC. The one notable inclusion is a built-in radio, which remains a practical feature for users who rely on FM reception.

The Oukitel C61 supports dual SIM cards and connects via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port, though 5G is not available and there is no HDMI output or DLNA certification. NFC is present alongside a fingerprint scanner for authentication, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included. For navigation, the phone features GPS with Galileo support and a compass, and on-board sensors include an accelerometer, with no gyroscope, barometer, heart rate monitor, or motion tracking available. Download speeds reach up to 300 Mbits/s and upload up to 100 Mbits/s, and an external memory slot is on hand for storage expansion. Satellite SOS, crash detection, ANT+, infrared sensor, HDMI output, stylus, and a built-in projector are all absent.

The Oukitel C61 includes a video light, which can be used to illuminate subjects during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
