Oukitel WP56

The Oukitel WP56 features a rugged, non-folding build rated at IP69, confirming full waterproof protection against high-pressure water exposure. It measures 177.3 mm in height, 82.4 mm in width, and 24.8 mm in thickness, with a total volume of approximately 362.32 cm³. At 524 g, it is a notably heavy handset, reflecting the reinforced construction that defines its rugged design.

The Oukitel WP56 uses an OLED/AMOLED touchscreen measuring 6.8 inches, delivering a resolution of 1080 x 2460 px at a pixel density of 395 ppi. The panel runs at a 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, offering reliable resistance against scratches and impacts. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen.

The Oukitel WP56 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, built on a 6nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration running two cores at 2.6 GHz and six cores at 2.0 GHz across 8 threads, supported by big.LITTLE and HMP technologies for efficient workload distribution. It carries 12GB of DDR5 RAM at 3200 MHz across 4 memory channels, with a maximum supported memory of 16GB, and offers 512GB of internal storage. Graphics are handled by the Mali G68 MP4 GPU clocked at 950 MHz with a turbo frequency of 900 MHz, 4 execution units, 64 shading units, and support for DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chipset has a TDP of 5W and includes a 2MB L3 cache, integrated LTE, integrated graphics, TrustZone security, and NX bit support. Benchmark results place the device at an AnTuTu score of 550,000, with Geekbench 6 scores of 936 in single-core and 2257 in multi-core testing.

The Oukitel WP56 features a dual-lens rear camera system combining a 108MP sensor at f/2.4 and a 2MP sensor at f/1.88, both backed by a BSI CMOS sensor and phase-detection autofocus for stills, along with continuous and touch autofocus for video. The rear camera is supported by three LED flash units and offers a broad range of manual controls including ISO, exposure, focus, and white balance, while also supporting HDR mode, burst shooting, slow-motion video, timelapse, and in-camera panoramas. Optical image stabilization is not available, nor is laser autofocus, RAW capture, manual shutter speed, 360-degree panorama, HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, or 3D photo and video. On the front, a 32MP single-lens camera with an f/2.0 aperture handles selfies, though it lacks its own flash and is positioned above the display rather than underneath it.

The Oukitel WP56 runs Android 15, an open-source platform that supports multi-user profiles, voice commands with offline voice recognition, on-device machine learning, and device tracking. Privacy controls are well represented, covering location access, camera and microphone permissions, clipboard warnings, and app tracking blocking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not included. On the usability side, the OS supports dark mode, extra dim mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications, a media picker, full-page scrolling screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, a child lock, app offloading, battery health monitoring, and the ability to play games while they download. Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, Quick Start, and the ability to use the device as a PC are not supported, and direct OS updates from the vendor are not available.

The Oukitel WP56 is equipped with a 16000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 45W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status. The battery is not removable, and neither wireless charging nor reverse wireless charging are supported.

The Oukitel WP56 includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5mm headphone jack, so wired audio requires an adapter or USB-C headphones. There is no radio tuner, and Bluetooth audio codec support is limited, with no aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC available.

The Oukitel WP56 supports 5G connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with download speeds reaching up to 2770 Mbit/s and upload speeds of up to 1250 Mbit/s. Wireless networking covers Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), while Bluetooth 5.2 handles short-range connections. The device includes NFC, a USB Type-C port, an external memory slot, and a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, though 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. Satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, HDMI output, a barometer, a heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, DLNA certification, a built-in projector, and a stylus are all absent. On the sensor side, the WP56 features GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and an infrared sensor, while motion tracking and optical tracking are not included.

The Oukitel WP56 includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper screen.
