Realme C85

The Realme C85 has a standard fixed-form design that does not fold, and while it lacks a rugged-certified build, it carries an IP69 ingress protection rating with a waterproof depth of 6 meters, making it genuinely resistant to water exposure. The device stands 166.1 mm tall and 77.9 mm wide, with a thickness of 8.4 mm and a total volume of approximately 108.69 cm³. It weighs 215 g, which reflects its sizable dimensions and large battery capacity.

The Realme C85 features a 6.8″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a 144Hz refresh rate, offering smoother motion during scrolling and general use. The display resolves at 720 x 1570 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 254 ppi. It does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and there is no support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision content formats. Always-On Display is also absent, and the device has no secondary screen.

The Realme C85 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, built on a 6 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at 2 x 2.4 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support. It comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz and 256GB of internal storage, with the chipset supporting a maximum of 12GB of memory and a peak bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s. Graphics are handled by the integrated Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, with DirectX 12 support. The processor achieves a Geekbench 6 single-core score of 782 and a multi-core score of 2012, and the cache hierarchy consists of 512 KB L1, 1 MB L2, and 2 MB L3. The SoC also includes integrated LTE, supports 64-bit processing, and uses multithreading.

The Realme C85 has a single-lens rear camera with a 50 MP CMOS sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, capable of recording video at 1080p 60 fps with continuous autofocus and slow-motion support, though optical image stabilization and optical zoom are absent. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus, while manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance; manual shutter speed, laser autofocus, and RAW shooting are not available. The rear setup includes a single LED flash — no dual-tone or RGB variant — and supports HDR mode, burst shooting, panorama, and timelapse, but does not handle HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, nor 3D or 360-degree capture. On the front, an 8 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture is present as a conventional single-lens setup without an under-display placement or a dedicated flash.

The Realme C85 runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking protection and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes and Wi-Fi password sharing are not available. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, app offloading, and the ability to play games while they download. The OS also offers customizable notifications with notification permission controls, a child lock, multi-user support, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, phone tracking, and a battery health check, though direct OS vendor updates and Quick Start are not supported.

The Realme C85 houses a 7000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery with a built-in level indicator, and supports 45W wired fast charging with a charger included in the box. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported.

The Realme C85 has a limited audio feature set — it lacks a 3.5 mm headphone jack and does not include stereo speakers or a built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the high-quality Bluetooth codec options are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC.

The Realme C85 supports 5G connectivity alongside a dual-SIM cellular module, Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.3, with a maximum download speed of 3300 MBits/s. It includes a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, NFC, a fingerprint scanner, and an external memory slot for expandable storage. For location and motion sensing, the device offers GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer, though a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and ANT+ are absent. 3D facial recognition, an iris scanner, HDMI output, DLNA certification, crash detection, satellite SOS, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are also not included, and no stylus is bundled with the device.

The Realme C85 includes a video light for use during video recording, while the display is flat and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
