ZTE Nubia Red Magic 11 Pro Plus

The ZTE Nubia Red Magic 11 Pro+ has a non-folding, non-rugged form factor standing 163.8 mm tall, 76.5 mm wide, and 8.9 mm thick, with a volume of 111.52 cm³ and a weight of 230 g. It carries an IPX8 ingress protection rating, making it water resistant and rated for submersion down to 1.5 m.

The display is a touchscreen OLED/AMOLED panel measuring 6.85″ with a resolution of 1216 x 2688 px and a pixel density of 431 ppi. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and includes an Always-On Display mode, though it does not feature branded damage-resistant glass, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or a secondary screen.

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, built on a 3 nm process with an 8-thread CPU running at 2 x 4.6 GHz and 6 x 3.62 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support, and a TDP of 8.2W. It comes with 24 GB of DDR5 RAM at 5300 MHz across 2 memory channels, a maximum memory bandwidth of 85.1 GB/s, ECC memory support, and 1024 GB of internal storage. The Adreno 830 GPU clocks at 1200 MHz, features 1536 shading units, supports up to 2 displays, and is compatible with DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 3. Cache configuration includes 192 KB L1, 12 MB L2, and 8 MB L3, while the chipset also integrates LTE, TrustZone security, and supports 64-bit processing and multithreading. Geekbench 6 scores are recorded at 3234 single-core and 10059 multi-core.

The main camera is a triple-lens CMOS system with sensors at 50, 50, and 2 MP and apertures of f/1.9, f/2.2, and f/2.4, supporting 8K video recording at 30 fps along with slow-motion video, continuous autofocus during recording, and phase-detection autofocus for stills. It includes optical image stabilization, HDR mode, burst mode, timelapse, in-camera panorama, touch autofocus, and manual controls for exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though optical zoom, laser autofocus, manual shutter speed, dual-tone flash, and HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording are absent. A single LED flash is present, but there is no RGB flash and no front-facing flash. The 16 MP front camera has an aperture of f/2.0 and is a single-lens unit positioned on the front bezel rather than under the display, with no 3D photo or video capabilities.

The device runs Android 16 as a free and open-source, multi-user operating system with a broad set of privacy and usability features. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection, cross-site tracking blocking, and Wi-Fi password sharing are not included. Customization options cover theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, extra dim mode, customizable notifications, and widget support, while productivity is aided by split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, Live Text, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. The OS also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, app offloading, a child lock, and a battery health check, though focus modes, Quick Start, and direct OS vendor updates are absent, and it cannot be used as a PC.

The device houses a non-removable rechargeable 7500 mAh battery with a battery level indicator. It supports fast wired charging at 120W as well as wireless charging at 80W, though reverse wireless charging is not available.

The device includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers for audio output. It does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, or aptX Lossless Bluetooth audio codecs, and there is no built-in radio.

The device supports 5G cellular connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with download speeds up to 10,000 Mbits/s and upload speeds up to 3,500 Mbits/s. Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) is supported alongside Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4 is on board, though ANT+ is not available. NFC is present, and biometric security is covered by a fingerprint scanner, though 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are absent. Emergency SOS via satellite, crash detection, DLNA certification, a stylus, and a built-in projector are also absent.

The device includes a video light, while the display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
