Notification permissions are customizable, and the system supports focus modes, a media picker, dark mode, Wi-Fi password sharing, battery health check, app offloading, full-page screenshots, Live Text, and Quick Start. Features such as AirPlay, SharePlay, Picture-in-Picture, sharing intents, widgets, voice commands, offline voice recognition, and device tracking are all present, while the OS receives direct vendor updates. However, the system does not support theme customization, dynamic theming, extra dim mode, split-screen multitasking, playing games while downloading, or multi-user accounts, and it is not free and open source.

The Apple iPhone 17 Pro houses a 4252 mAh rechargeable battery with a rated battery life of 33 hours and a built-in battery level indicator.
