The ASRock B860M LiveMixer WiFi is built around the LGA 1851 socket and is compatible with the B860 chipset, housed in a compact Micro-ATX form factor measuring 244 x 244 mm. It supports a single CPU and does not include an integrated processor or integrated graphics. Wireless connectivity is covered by Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), with backward compatibility across Wi-Fi 4, 5, and 6, alongside Bluetooth 5.3, though aptX audio codec support is absent. The board features HDMI 2.1 output, RGB lighting, and dual BIOS for added resilience, and while it supports easy overclocking, manual CMOS reset is not available directly on the board. A three-year warranty is included.
The board offers four DDR5 memory slots arranged across two channels, supporting a maximum capacity of 256 GB. Native RAM speeds reach up to 5600 MHz, while overclocking can push that figure to 8666 MHz for users who want to extract additional memory performance. ECC memory is not supported.}
The rear I/O panel provides a broad selection of USB ports, including six USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, six USB 2.0 ports, and a Thunderbolt 4 port that also doubles as a USB 4 40 Gbps connection. There are no USB 3.2 Gen 2, Gen 2x2, USB 4 20 Gbps, or Thunderbolt 3 ports. Display output is handled by a single HDMI connector, while DisplayPort, DVI, and VGA outputs are absent. Network connectivity is served by one RJ45 port, and there are no eSATA or PS/2 ports present.
Internal connectivity is well covered, with three M.2 sockets and four SATA 3 connectors available for storage, while SATA 2 and U.2 sockets are not present, nor is an mSATA connector. Expansion headers allow for four additional USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, four USB 3.0 ports, and four USB 2.0 ports. Cooling is supported through six fan headers, and a TPM connector is included for security module installation.
The board provides two expansion slots in total: one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for the primary graphics card or high-bandwidth add-in card, and one PCIe x4 slot for additional expansion needs. There are no PCIe 4.0, 3.0, or 2.0 x16 slots, and no PCIe x1, x8, or legacy PCI slots are present.
The onboard audio solution supports 7.1-channel output and delivers a DAC signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB, indicating a clean audio signal with minimal background noise. Two audio connectors are available on the board, and an S/PDIF Out port is included for digital audio passthrough to external receivers or DACs.
The board supports four RAID configurations: RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 10 (1+0), covering a range of needs from performance striping to redundancy and combined setups. RAID 0+1 is not supported.
