The Bowie M2s Ultra combine active noise cancellation with passive noise reduction to help block out unwanted sound from multiple directions. They cover a full frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz and support spatial audio for a more immersive listening experience. Dolby Atmos, Dirac Virtuo, and a neodymium magnet driver are not included.
Each earbud carries a 35 mAh rechargeable battery rated for 7 hours of playback, with a full charge taking 1.5 hours. The accompanying charging case holds a 600 mAh battery to extend overall usage between wall charges. A battery level indicator keeps track of remaining power, while wireless charging and solar power are not supported.
The Bowie M2s Ultra connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 meters and an audio latency of 60 ms. Supported codecs include LDHC and AAC, while LDAC, aptX in all its variants (including aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice), and Bluetooth LE Audio are not available. The earbuds charge over USB Type-C, and neither fast pairing, NFC pairing, nor Auracast are supported.
The Bowie M2s Ultra include an ambient sound mode for awareness of surrounding audio, along with a mute function and voice prompts for hands-free feedback during calls and playback. They can be used as a headset and feature on-device touch controls, though an in-line control panel is not present. Fast charging is supported, and a travel bag is included in the box. In/on-ear detection, a find device feature, notification readout, a built-in translator, a body temperature sensor, and a camera remote shutter are not available.
The Bowie M2s Ultra are equipped with a four-microphone array that includes noise-canceling capability to help reduce background sound during calls. The microphones operate at a sensitivity of -52 dBV/Pa, providing a defined pick-up level for voice capture.
