It carries an IP68 Ingress Protection rating, classifying it as waterproof under the conditions that rating covers. The device does not feature a rugged build.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL features a 6.8″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1344 x 2992 px and a pixel density of 486 ppi, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate and a typical brightness of 2200 nits. The display achieves a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 and supports both HDR10 and HDR10+, while an Always-On Display mode is also available. Screen protection is provided by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the panel does not include a secondary screen.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is powered by the Google Tensor G5 system-on-chip, built on a 3 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at speeds of 1 x 3.4 GHz, 5 x 2.85 GHz, and 2 x 2.4 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing. It is paired with 16GB of DDR5 RAM running at 4200 MHz and 1024GB of internal storage. Graphics are handled by the integrated PowerVR DXT 48 1536 GPU clocked at 1100 MHz, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The SoC includes integrated LTE, and the platform scores 2267 in Geekbench 6 single-core and 5712 in multi-core testing. Additional hardware-level features include TrustZone security, NX bit support, 64-bit compatibility, and a maximum memory ceiling of 16GB.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL features a triple-lens rear camera system with sensors at 50 MP, 48 MP, and 48 MP, paired with apertures of f/1.68, f/1.7, and f/2.8, along with 5x optical zoom and built-in optical image stabilization. Each sensor uses a CMOS back-illuminated design, and autofocus options include phase-detection, laser, and touch autofocus, with continuous autofocus available during video recording. The rear camera supports 4K video recording at 60 fps, slow-motion video, HDR10 recording, and is backed by a dual-tone LED flash with two LEDs — there is no RGB LED flash. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, white balance, and shutter speed, and the camera can shoot in RAW format, capture burst shots, create panoramas, and record timelapses. The 42 MP single-lens front camera has an aperture of f/2.2 and supports HDR mode, but does not include a front-facing flash, a secondary lens, or an under-display placement.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL runs Android 15 and receives direct OS updates from the vendor. On the privacy side, it includes location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, clipboard warnings, and the ability to block app tracking, though it does not offer Mail Privacy Protection or cross-site tracking blocking. The OS supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and device tracking. Customization options include dynamic theming, theme customization, dark mode, an extra dim mode, and widget support, while focus modes and Wi-Fi password sharing are not available. Productivity and usability features cover split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, Live Text, a media picker, sharing intents, customizable notifications, notification permissions, and the ability to play games while they download. The system also supports multiple user accounts, app offloading, a child lock, a battery health check, and is free and open source. Quick Start is not supported, and the device cannot be used as a PC.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL houses a non-removable rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5200 mAh, supported by a battery level indicator. Wired fast charging is available at 45W, while wireless charging runs at 25W, and the device also supports reverse wireless charging for powering other devices. No charger is included in the box.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL includes stereo speakers and three microphones, but does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack or a built-in radio. For wireless audio, it supports aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC codecs, though aptX Adaptive is not available.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL supports 5G cellular connectivity alongside Wi-Fi 7, 6E, 6, 5, and 4, and comes with Bluetooth 6, NFC, and a USB Type-C port running USB 3.2. SIM configuration consists of one physical SIM and one eSIM, and there is no external memory slot or HDMI output. Satellite emergency SOS and crash detection are both present as safety-oriented features. For positioning and navigation, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, a gyroscope, an accelerometer, and a barometer, while ANT+, an infrared sensor, a heart rate monitor, motion tracking, and optical tracking are all absent. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner; 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not available. A stylus is not included, and the device does not have a built-in projector.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL includes a video light, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
