The Moondrop Moca adopts a true wireless, in-ear design with no cables or neckband, keeping the form factor minimal and unobtrusive. Each earbud weighs 8.84 g and includes stereo speakers for full left-right audio separation. The earbuds do not feature wingtips, RGB lighting, a UV light, or any built-in display, reflecting a straightforward, no-frills physical design focused on fit and function.
The Moondrop Moca uses a 10 mm driver unit backed by a neodymium magnet, covering a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Both active noise cancellation and passive noise reduction are present, giving the earbuds two layers of sound isolation. Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, and Dirac Virtuo are not supported.
The Moondrop Moca offers 6 hours of battery life per charge, with the charging case providing an additional 15 hours for a combined total of 21 hours. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and the case supports wireless charging, removing the need for a cable when topping up. The earbuds include a battery level indicator and use a rechargeable battery, though solar charging is not available.
The Moondrop Moca connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio support and AAC codec compatibility, reaching a maximum range of 10 m and an audio latency of 55 ms. USB Type-C is available for wired charging. Fast pairing, NFC pairing, and Auracast are not supported, and the earbuds do not include any aptX variant — covering aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — nor do they support LDAC or LDHC.
The Moondrop Moca includes ambient sound mode and in-ear detection that automatically pauses playback when the earbuds are removed. Fast charging is supported, and the earbuds can function as a headset with a mute function for calls, while voice prompts provide audio feedback during use. Controls are handled through a panel on the device rather than an in-line control panel on a cable. A travel bag is included in the box. The earbuds do not offer a find-device feature, notification reading, a body temperature sensor, or a built-in camera remote.
The Moondrop Moca is equipped with four microphones and noise-canceling microphone technology to help reduce background noise during calls and voice use.
