Motorola Moto G57

The Motorola Moto G57 has a standard candy-bar form factor — it does not fold and carries no rugged certification. It measures 166.2 mm tall, 76.5 mm wide, and 8.6 mm thick, resulting in a volume of 109.34 cm³ and a weight of 210.6 g. On the durability side, the device holds an IP64 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and can withstand water splashes from any direction, though it is not rated for submersion.

The Moto G57 features a 6.72-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 px and a pixel density of 392 ppi, offering a sharp and detailed image across its large panel. Both the refresh rate and touch sampling rate run at 120Hz, contributing to smoother scrolling and more responsive input. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, providing a layer of resistance against everyday scratches and minor impacts. HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Always-On Display are not supported, and there is no secondary screen.

The Moto G57 is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, a 4 nm octa-core SoC configured as four cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and four at 1.8 GHz, running across 8 threads with big.LITTLE and HMP scheduling for dynamic workload distribution. The chip integrates LTE, an graphics unit supporting DirectX 12 and OpenCL 2, and OpenGL ES 3.2, while executing 128 bits per cycle via NEON. Security features include TrustZone and NX bit support, and the processor is fully 64-bit compatible. The device comes with 8GB of DDR5 RAM running at 3200 MHz across two memory channels, with a maximum supported memory ceiling of 12GB and a peak bandwidth of 17 GB/s. Storage is handled by a 256GB eMMC 5.1 module, and while multithreading at the CPU level is not enabled, VFP version 4 is supported alongside a front-end decode width of 3.

The Moto G57 sports a dual-lens rear camera combining a 50 MP sensor at f/1.8 and an 8 MP sensor at f/2.2, both using CMOS technology without a back-illuminated sensor. Autofocus is handled via phase detection and touch AF, with continuous autofocus available during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. Manual controls extend to exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, HDR, panorama, timelapse, and slow-motion video recording are all supported; manual shutter speed and RAW capture are not available. Video tops out at 1440 x 30 fps, with no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording support. A single LED flash is present at the rear — no dual-tone or RGB flash — and there is no front-facing flash. The front camera offers a single 8 MP lens at f/2.2, positioned conventionally rather than under the display, and there is no 360-degree panorama or 3D capture capability.

The Moto G57 runs Android 16 as a free and open-source operating system, supporting multi-user profiles, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Privacy controls are notably broad, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and app tracking blocking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are absent. Personalization options include dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, and an extra dim mode, while productivity is aided by full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, Live Text, offline voice recognition, voice commands, app offloading, and a battery health check tool. The device supports phone tracking and includes a child lock, but does not offer focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, or the ability to function as a PC. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not available on this model.

The Moto G57 is equipped with a 5200 mAh rechargeable battery that includes a battery level indicator. The cell is sealed within the chassis and cannot be removed by the user. Notably, neither wired fast charging nor wireless charging is supported, and reverse wireless charging is also absent. A charger is not included in the box.

The Moto G57 covers the audio basics with stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a dual-microphone setup. On the wireless audio side, none of the higher-quality Bluetooth codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported. There is also no built-in radio tuner.

The Moto G57 supports 5G connectivity alongside Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and accepts one physical SIM plus one eSIM. Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC are both present, while the USB Type-C port operates at USB 2.0 speeds with no HDMI output. Cellular download and upload speeds reach up to 2900 Mbits/s and 1500 Mbits/s respectively, and there is no external memory slot. Location is covered by GPS and Galileo support, and onboard sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass. A fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication — 3D facial recognition and iris scanning are not available. Features such as crash detection, satellite SOS, ANT+, a heart rate monitor, barometer, infrared sensor, DLNA certification, motion or optical tracking, and a built-in projector are all absent, and no stylus is included.

The Moto G57 includes a video light for use during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses no e-paper technology, and is not protected by sapphire glass.
