The Raycon Essential Open Earbuds use an open-ear fit and are fully true wireless, meaning there are no cables or neckband involved. Wingtips are included to help keep them in place during use. They carry an IPX4 rating, making them resistant to sweat, which adds a degree of durability for active use. Stereo speakers are present, while features such as RGB lighting, a UV light, and a display are not part of the design.
The Raycon Essential Open Earbuds cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz and deliver a sound pressure level of 100 dB/mW. Neither active noise cancellation nor passive noise reduction is included, which aligns with the open-ear nature of the design. Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, and Dirac Virtuo are not supported, and the earbuds do not use a neodymium magnet.
The earbuds offer 8 hours of battery life, with the charging case providing an additional 24 hours of total runtime backed by a 500mAh capacity. A full charge takes approximately one hour, and the case supports wireless charging. A battery level indicator is included, and the battery is rechargeable. Solar charging is not available.
The Raycon Essential Open Earbuds connect wirelessly using Bluetooth 6, with a maximum range of 10 meters. USB Type-C is available for wired charging, though the connection itself is wireless only. Fast pairing and NFC pairing are not supported, and the earbuds do not include any aptX variants (including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice), nor do they support LDAC, LDHC, AAC, Bluetooth LE Audio, or Auracast.
The earbuds support multipoint connectivity with up to two devices simultaneously and can be used as a headset, with a mute function available for calls. Fast charging is supported, and voice prompts provide audio feedback during operation. Controls are handled via a panel placed on the device itself, while an in-line control panel is not included. A travel bag is included in the box. Ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, a find device feature, notification reading, a built-in translator, a body temperature sensor, and a camera remote function are all absent.
The Raycon Essential Open Earbuds are equipped with a noise-canceling microphone, which helps reduce unwanted background sound during calls and voice use.
