The Sennheiser Accentum Open follow a true wireless earbud design, with no wires or cables and a standard earbud fit that does not include wingtips or a neckband. Each unit weighs 8.7 grams and features stereo speakers. The earbuds carry an IPX4 ingress protection rating, making them sweat resistant — suitable for light physical activity. The design omits RGB lighting, a display, and UV light functionality.
The Sennheiser Accentum Open use an 11 mm driver unit and cover a frequency range from 25 Hz to 15,000 Hz, with a sound pressure level of 109 dB/mW. The earbuds do not include active noise cancellation or passive noise reduction, and there is no neodymium magnet in the driver configuration. Spatial audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and Dirac Virtuo are not supported.
The earbuds offer 6 hours of battery life per charge, backed by a 36 mAh internal battery, while the charging case adds a further 18 hours with its 400 mAh capacity. The earbuds feature a rechargeable battery and include a battery level indicator to keep track of remaining charge.
The Sennheiser Accentum Open connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3, with a maximum range of 10 meters, and support the AAC codec for audio transmission. Charging is handled through a USB Type-C connection. Fast pairing, NFC pairing, and Auracast are not available, and the earbuds do not support any aptX variants — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice — nor do they feature LDAC, LDHC, or Bluetooth LE Audio.
The Sennheiser Accentum Open support fast charging and can be used as a headset, with controls placed on the device itself rather than an in-line panel. A mute function and voice prompts are included, and a travel bag is provided in the box. The earbuds come with a one-year warranty. Features such as ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, a find device function, notification reading, a temperature sensor, and a camera remote are not available.
The Sennheiser Accentum Open feature a 4-microphone setup paired with noise-canceling microphone technology, aimed at reducing unwanted background sound during calls and voice input.
