T-Mobile T Phone 3

The T-Mobile T Phone 3 is a standard candybar-style smartphone with no folding mechanism and no rugged build certification. It measures 166.5 mm tall, 77.1 mm wide, and 9.3 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 119.39 cm³. At 401 g, it sits on the heavier end of the smartphone weight range, and it carries no water resistance rating, meaning it offers no certified protection against moisture or dust exposure.

The T-Mobile T Phone 3 uses an IPS LCD touchscreen measuring 6.58″ with a 1080 x 2408 px resolution and a pixel density of 401 ppi, delivering a sharp and detailed image. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother on-screen motion, and is protected by branded damage-resistant glass. There is no secondary screen, and the display does not support Always-On mode, HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision.

The T-Mobile T Phone 3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, a 4nm SoC featuring an octa-core CPU arranged in a big.LITTLE configuration with four cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and four at 1.8 GHz, delivering 8 threads and a TDP of 7W. The chip includes integrated LTE, an Adreno 710 GPU running at 800 MHz with support for DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, and it drives a single display. The device ships with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 2750 MHz across two memory channels, offering a maximum memory bandwidth of 25.6 GB/s and a supported ceiling of 12GB, alongside 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. Additional hardware-level features include 64-bit support, NX bit, HMP, and ARM TrustZone for security.

The T-Mobile T Phone 3 features a dual-lens rear camera system with a 50MP and 2MP configuration, built around a CMOS sensor with optical image stabilization, phase-detection autofocus for photos, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording. Manual controls include ISO, exposure, focus, and white balance, while shooting modes cover HDR, burst, and in-camera panorama. The rear camera is backed by a single LED flash with no dual-tone or RGB variants, and there is no optical zoom, no laser autofocus, no slow-motion recording, no timelapse, no RAW output, and no HDR10 or Dolby Vision video recording. On the front, a 13MP single-lens camera handles selfies without a front-facing flash or under-display placement, and 3D photo and video capture is not supported on either camera.

The T-Mobile T Phone 3 runs Android 15, an open-source platform that supports multi-user accounts, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, dynamic and manual theme customization, dark mode, and an extra dim display mode. Privacy features include clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. Productivity is further supported by live text selection in images, full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, notification permission controls, offline voice recognition, voice commands, on-device machine learning, app offloading, sharing intents, a child lock, phone tracking, and the ability to play games while they download. OS updates do not come directly from the platform vendor, Wi-Fi password sharing and Quick Start are absent, and the device cannot be used as a PC.

The T-Mobile T Phone 3 is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, sealed battery that supports 25W wired fast charging and includes a battery level indicator. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported, and the battery is not user-removable.

The T-Mobile T Phone 3 includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers for audio output. It does not support any high-resolution Bluetooth audio codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC, and there is no built-in radio tuner.

The T-Mobile T Phone 3 supports 5G cellular connectivity alongside Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and accepts one physical SIM card plus one eSIM. Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC are both present, and the device offers an external memory slot for additional storage. Wired connectivity is handled via a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, and theoretical cellular speeds reach up to 2900 Mbits/s download and 1600 Mbits/s upload. For navigation, the phone includes GPS and Galileo satellite system support, while an accelerometer and fingerprint scanner round out the onboard sensors. Features not included are an infrared sensor, barometer, heart rate monitor, 3D facial recognition, iris scanner, HDMI output, ANT+ support, DLNA certification, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, motion and optical tracking, and a built-in projector. A stylus is not included with the device.

The T-Mobile T Phone 3 includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and it uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
