Vivo V50e

The Vivo V50e has a standard slab-style form factor — it is neither foldable nor built to rugged standards, yet it carries a full IP68 ingress protection rating, meaning it is rated waterproof against dust and water immersion. The phone measures 163.3 mm tall, 76.7 mm wide, and just 7.4 mm thick, giving it a slim profile, while its weight of 186 g keeps it reasonably light in hand. Total volume comes in at approximately 92.69 cm³.

The Vivo V50e features a 6.77″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2392 px and a pixel density of 388 ppi, delivering a sharp and vibrant viewing experience. The panel runs at a 120Hz refresh rate and supports both HDR10 and HDR10+, while being protected by branded damage-resistant glass. Dolby Vision is not supported, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen.

The Vivo V50e is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, built on a 4 nm process with 6,200 million transistors and an octa-core CPU configuration of 4 x 2.5 GHz and 4 x 2 GHz cores across 8 threads, using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support. It comes with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 6400 MHz — expandable up to a maximum of 16 GB — alongside 256 GB of internal storage. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G615 MC2 GPU clocked at 1047 MHz, supporting DirectX 12 and a single display output. The SoC also integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing, and the chip scores 1026 and 2932 in Geekbench 6 single-core and multi-core tests respectively.

The Vivo V50e features a dual rear camera system consisting of a 50 MP lens at f/2.2 and an 8 MP lens at f/1.8, both using CMOS sensors, with optical image stabilization and no optical zoom. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch AF for stills, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, HDR, panorama, slow-motion video, and timelapse are all supported; raw shooting, manual shutter speed, 360° panorama, HDR10 recording, and Dolby Vision recording are not available. A rear flash is present, though it is not dual-tone or RGB. On the front, a single 50 MP camera at f/2.0 handles selfies — it is a single-lens setup with no dedicated flash and is not positioned under the display.

The Vivo V50e runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking — though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the usability side, it supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications, notification permissions, a media picker, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, Live Text, widgets, sharing intents, child lock, multi-user support, and an extra dim mode. It can play games while they are downloading, offload apps, perform offline voice recognition, respond to voice commands, and track device location. On-device machine learning is also available. However, focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC are not supported, and OS updates are not delivered directly from the vendor.

The Vivo V50e is equipped with a 5600 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 90W wired fast charging, allowing for quick top-ups when needed. A battery level indicator is present for at-a-glance monitoring. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Vivo V50e includes stereo speakers for audio output, but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack, so wired headphones would require an adapter. There is no radio tuner, and none of the high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

The Vivo V50e supports 5G connectivity alongside a cellular module, dual SIM slots, and Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). It connects via USB Type-C with USB 2.0, and offers download and upload speeds of up to 3270 MBits/s. For location and motion sensing, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass. A fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication, while 3D facial recognition and iris scanning are not present. NFC is absent, as are HDMI output, an infrared sensor, a barometer, ANT+ support, a heart rate monitor, DLNA certification, external memory expansion, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, a stylus, a built-in projector, and motion or optical tracking.

The Vivo V50e includes a video light to assist with recording in low-light conditions. Its display is flat rather than curved, and it uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
