Xiaomi Mix Flip 2

The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is a foldable device that measures 166.9 mm in height, 73.8 mm in width, and 7.6 mm in thickness, with a total volume of 93.61 cm³ and a weight of 199 g. It does not feature a rugged build and carries no water resistance rating, so it offers no protection against moisture or dust. Despite its folding capability, the physical footprint remains relatively contained within those stated dimensions.

The main display is a touchscreen OLED/AMOLED panel measuring 6.86″ with a resolution of 1224 x 2912 px and a pixel density of 460 ppi, paired with a 120 Hz refresh rate for smooth on-screen motion. It supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, and includes an Always-On Display mode for at-a-glance information without fully waking the screen. The device also features a secondary screen with a resolution of 1208 x 1392 px, while the main panel does not include branded damage-resistant glass.

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on a 3 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at 2 x 4.32 GHz and 6 x 3.53 GHz, supported by big.LITTLE architecture and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing for efficient workload distribution. It achieves Geekbench 6 scores of 3234 single-core and 10059 multi-core, while the Adreno 830 GPU operates at 1100 MHz with 1536 shading units, supports DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 3, and can drive up to 2 displays. The chipset includes integrated LTE, integrated graphics, and TrustZone security, and carries a TDP of 8.2W. Memory consists of 16 GB of DDR5 RAM at 5300 MHz across 2 channels with a maximum bandwidth of 85.1 GB/s and ECC support, backed by L1 cache of 192 KB, L2 cache of 12 MB, and L3 cache of 8 MB, with a maximum supported memory amount of 24 GB. Internal storage stands at 1024 GB, and the platform supports 64-bit processing and multithreading throughout.

The rear camera system uses a dual-lens configuration with two 50 MP CMOS sensors at apertures of f/2.2 and f/1.7, offering 2x optical zoom and optical image stabilization, while video recording reaches up to 4320p at 60 fps with Dolby Vision support, though HDR10 recording is not available. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus as well as continuous autofocus during video, but laser autofocus is absent. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while manual shutter speed is not available; additional shooting modes include burst, panorama, slow-motion, and timelapse. The single flash LED does not support dual-tone or RGB output, and the camera does not shoot in RAW format or capture 360-degree panoramas or 3D content. The 32 MP front camera sits at an aperture of f/2.0, is a single-lens unit positioned above the display rather than under it, and has no dedicated front-facing flash.

The device runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls covering clipboard warnings, location access, and camera and microphone permissions, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not present. App tracking can be blocked, and on-device machine learning is supported. Customization options include theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes are not available. Productivity features cover split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, Live Text, sharing intents, customizable notifications, widgets, and the ability to play games while they download. The system supports multi-user access, offline voice recognition, voice commands, device tracking, app offloading, a child lock, and a battery health check. Wi-Fi password sharing and Quick Start are not included, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor nor can it function as a PC.

The device houses a 5165 mAh rechargeable battery that is not removable, and includes a battery level indicator for monitoring charge status. Wired fast charging is supported at 67W, while wireless charging is available at 50W, though reverse wireless charging is not offered.

The device features stereo speakers and supports aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive for Bluetooth audio, though aptX Lossless and LDAC are not available. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The device supports 5G and accommodates two SIM cards, with wireless connectivity covering Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, 6E, and 7 alongside Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC. A fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present, and no stylus is included. Onboard sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, GPS, barometer, and Galileo satellite support, whereas an infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, ANT+, motion tracking, and optical tracking are absent. Emergency SOS via satellite, crash detection, and a built-in projector are also not featured.

The device includes a video light for use during video recording, while the display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor e-paper technology.
