The Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro uses an open-ear fit and operates as a true wireless design with no cables or neckband. Wingtips are included to help keep the earbuds in place during use, and the built-in stereo speakers deliver sound to both ears. With an IP54 rating, the earbuds are protected against sweat and light moisture exposure, making them reasonably suited for physical activity. The design omits RGB lighting, a display, and UV light functionality.
The Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 40,000 Hz, spanning from the lower end of human hearing up into the extended high-frequency range. The earbuds do not include active noise cancellation or passive noise reduction, meaning they make no attempt to block out ambient sound — which aligns with their open-ear design. Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, and Dirac Virtuo are not supported, and the drivers do not use a neodymium magnet.
Each earbud houses a 60 mAh rechargeable battery delivering up to 7.5 hours of playback on a single charge, while the 780 mAh charging case extends the total available listening time to 31 hours. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours, and a battery level indicator is included to keep track of remaining power. The earbuds do not support wireless charging or solar charging, so recharging relies solely on a wired connection.
The Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 meters, and supports the LDHC and AAC audio codecs for wireless audio transmission. The earbuds do not support LDAC, any variant of aptX, Bluetooth LE Audio, or Auracast. Pairing options are limited to standard Bluetooth — neither fast pairing nor NFC pairing are available. For wired charging, the case uses a USB Type-C connection.
The Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro supports fast charging and can be used as a headset, with a mute function and voice prompts included for hands-free convenience. Controls are handled through a panel placed directly on the earbuds, while an in-line control panel is not provided. A travel bag is included in the box. The earbuds do not offer ambient sound mode, in-ear detection for auto-pausing music, notification readout, a built-in translator, a body temperature sensor, or a camera remote shutter function.
The Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro is equipped with a noise-canceling microphone, which helps reduce unwanted background sounds during calls or voice input.
