On the durability side, the device holds an IP64 rating, which means it offers protection against dust ingress and resistance to water splashes from any direction, giving it a practical level of everyday water resistance without qualifying as a fully waterproof handset.

The Redmi Note 14S features a 6.67″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a 1080 x 2400 px resolution and a pixel density of 395 ppi, delivering a sharp and vibrant visual experience. It runs at a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a typical brightness of 500 nits, with Always-On Display functionality also supported. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, adding a layer of resistance against everyday scratches and impacts. HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision are not supported, and there is no secondary screen on the device.

The Redmi Note 14S is powered by the Mediatek Helio G99 chipset, built on a 6 nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration of 2 x 2.2 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz cores across 8 threads, supported by big.LITTLE and HMP technologies for efficient workload distribution. It comes with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM running at 4266 MHz across two memory channels, offering a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.1 GB/s and a maximum supported memory amount of 12 GB, while 256 GB of eMMC 5.2 internal storage is provided on-board. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 GPU, clocked at 950 MHz with a turbo frequency of 2133 MHz, 32 shading units, support for DirectX 11, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, and the ability to drive up to two displays simultaneously. The chipset scores 450,000 on AnTuTu, 1,979 on Geekbench 6 multi-core, and 729 on single-core, operates with a TDP of 5W and a maximum CPU temperature of 95 °C, and includes integrated LTE, TrustZone security, and full 64-bit support.

The Redmi Note 14S sports a multi-lens rear camera setup led by a 200 MP main sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, joined by an 8 MP lens at f/2.2 and a 2 MP lens at f/2.4, all backed by optical image stabilization and a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus for stills, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. The main camera records video at up to 1080p at 60 fps with slow-motion support, while HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not available. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not included, and the system supports burst mode, panorama, and timelapse shooting; RAW capture and 360-degree panorama are not supported. The Redmi Note 14S runs Android 15 and comes with a broad set of privacy and usability features. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not included. The interface supports theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes and Wi-Fi password sharing are absent. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, customizable notifications, notification permission controls, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. The OS also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, widgets, app offloading, a child lock, multi-user support, phone tracking, and battery health checks, though Quick Start and the ability to use the device as a PC are not available, and OS updates do not come directly from the vendor.

The Redmi Note 14S houses a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that is non-removable and supports 67W wired fast charging, with a charger included in the box. Wireless charging is not available. A battery level indicator is present, keeping the user informed of remaining charge at a glance.

The Redmi Note 14S covers the audio basics with stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Lossless are all absent, so Bluetooth audio is limited to standard codecs.

The Redmi Note 14S supports Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS with Galileo, while 5G is not available and the device operates on a cellular module with support for two SIM cards. Wired connectivity is handled via a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, and there is no HDMI output. Emergency SOS via satellite, crash detection, DLNA certification, a built-in projector, and a stylus are likewise not part of the feature set.

The Redmi Note 14S includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses no sapphire glass, and is not an e-paper panel.
