ZTE Nubia Red Magic 11 Pro (China)

The ZTE Nubia Red Magic 11 Pro has a fixed, non-folding form factor measuring 163.8 × 76.5 mm with a thickness of 8.9 mm and a total volume of 111.52 cm³, tipping the scales at 230 g. It carries an IPX8 ingress protection rating, meaning it is water resistant and can withstand submersion at depths of up to 1.5 m. The device does not feature a rugged build certification beyond that water resistance rating.

The Red Magic 11 Pro features a 6.85″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1216 x 2688 px and a pixel density of 431 ppi, paired with a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth on-screen motion. It supports an Always-On Display mode, keeping glanceable information visible without fully waking the screen. The panel does not carry branded damage-resistant glass and lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision; there is also no secondary screen on the device.

The Red Magic 11 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 system-on-chip, built on a 3 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configured in a big.LITTLE arrangement running at 2 × 4.6 GHz and 6 × 3.62 GHz, a TDP of 8.2 W, and integrated LTE. The SoC includes an Adreno 830 GPU clocked at 1200 MHz with 1536 shading units, support for DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 3, and can drive up to 2 displays simultaneously. The chip supports HMP and ARM TrustZone, and the memory subsystem pairs 16 GB of DDR5 RAM at 5300 MHz across 2 channels with a maximum bandwidth of 85.1 GB/s and ECC support, while the device ships with 512 GB of internal storage; L1, L2, and L3 caches measure 192 KB, 12 MB, and 8 MB respectively, and the platform supports up to 24 GB of RAM total. Geekbench 6 scores come in at 3234 single-core and 10059 multi-core.

The Red Magic 11 Pro's rear camera system consists of three lenses — two 50 MP sensors and one 2 MP sensor — with apertures of f/1.9, f/2.2, and f/2.4 respectively, all using a CMOS sensor type and supported by optical image stabilization. Autofocus is handled via phase-detection and touch AF with continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is not present. The main camera can record video at 4320p at 30 fps with slow-motion support, while HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not available; there is no optical zoom. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is absent, and the camera also supports burst mode, panoramas, and timelapse. A single LED flash is included on the rear, without dual-tone or RGB flash options. The 16 MP front camera sits behind an f/2.0 aperture in a standard front-facing position — not under the display — and has no accompanying flash or secondary lens; HDR mode is available on the front as part of the overall HDR feature set.

The Red Magic 11 Pro runs Android 16 as a free and open-source platform, supporting multiple user accounts, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Privacy features include clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and app tracking prevention, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. The OS offers theme customization with dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, alongside customizable notifications with granular permission controls, a media picker, full-page scrolling screenshots, Live Text, and a child lock. On-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, battery health monitoring, and app offloading are all supported, while direct OS vendor updates, Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, and Quick Start are not available.

The Red Magic 11 Pro houses a rechargeable 8000 mAh battery with a built-in level indicator, and supports both wired fast charging at 80W and wireless charging. Reverse wireless charging is not available, and the battery is not removable.

The Red Magic 11 Pro includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers for audio output. It does not support any aptX variant — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, or aptX Lossless — and there is no built-in radio.

The Red Magic 11 Pro supports 5G cellular connectivity with a dual-SIM configuration, and its Wi-Fi coverage spans Wi-Fi 4 through Wi-Fi 7 (802.11n/ac/ax/be), including Wi-Fi 6E. Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC are both present, while there is no external memory slot, HDMI output, or DLNA certification. Wired connectivity is handled via a USB Type-C port running at USB 3.2, and the device achieves download and upload speeds of up to 10,000 Mbits/s and 3,500 Mbits/s respectively. For biometrics, a fingerprint scanner is included, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are absent; there is no stylus in the box. Sensors on board include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, GPS with Galileo support, and an infrared sensor, whereas a barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are all not featured. Emergency SOS via satellite and crash detection are likewise not available.

The Red Magic 11 Pro includes a video light, which can illuminate subjects during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
