The Baseus BS1 adopts a standard earbud fit without wingtips or a neckband, keeping the design straightforward and lightweight at just 8.2 g. It is a true wireless product, meaning no cables or cords are involved, and it delivers audio through stereo speakers. The earbuds carry an IP55 rating, classifying them as water resistant against splashing from any direction as well as dust ingress. There is no RGB lighting, no UV light, and no built-in display on the unit.
The Baseus BS1 uses a 10 mm driver unit and covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. It does not include active noise cancellation or passive noise reduction, so ambient sound passes through during use. Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, and Dirac Virtuo are not supported, and the driver does not use a neodymium magnet.
The Baseus BS1 earbuds offer 8 hours of battery life per charge, with the included charging case adding a further 42 hours for a combined total of 50 hours. The case holds a 600 mAh rechargeable battery, and a full charge takes 2 hours via cable. A battery level indicator is present to help track remaining charge. Wireless charging and solar power are not supported.
The Baseus BS1 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 6 with a maximum range of 10 m and an audio latency of 60 ms. AAC codec is supported, while LDAC, LDHC, and the full aptX family — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — are not available. Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast are also absent, and neither fast pairing nor NFC pairing is supported. USB Type-C is present for wired charging purposes.
The Baseus BS1 supports fast charging and can function as a headset, with a mute function and voice prompts built in. Controls are handled via a panel placed on the device itself rather than an in-line control panel on a cable. A travel bag is included in the package. The earbuds do not offer ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, a find device feature, notification reading, a built-in translator, a body temperature sensor, or a camera remote shutter function.
The Baseus BS1 is equipped with a 4-microphone array that includes noise-canceling microphone capability, helping to reduce unwanted background sound during calls or voice use.
