The Boult Audio Mustang Dyno adopts a true wireless in-ear fit, meaning there are no cables or neckband connecting the two earbuds. They carry an IPX5 ingress protection rating, classifying them as water resistant and capable of handling splashes and light moisture exposure. The earbuds support stereo playback across both channels, while features such as RGB lighting, wingtips, a display, and UV light are not part of the design.
The Mustang Dyno uses a 13 mm driver unit and covers a frequency range spanning from 20 Hz up to 20,000 Hz. Passive noise reduction is present, helping to block out some ambient sound through the physical in-ear seal, though active noise cancellation is not supported. Audio technologies such as spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, and Dirac Virtuo are not included, and the driver does not use a neodymium magnet.
The Mustang Dyno earbuds offer 8 hours of battery life per charge, with the accompanying charging case extending the total to 52 hours. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and the earbuds feature a battery level indicator to help track remaining power. The battery is rechargeable, though wireless charging and solar charging are not supported.
The Mustang Dyno connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 and supports the AAC codec, with a maximum range of 10 m and a rated audio latency of 45 ms. Charging is handled through USB Type-C, though wireless charging is not available. Fast pairing and NFC pairing are not supported, and the earbuds do not include any aptX variants — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice — nor do they support LDAC, LDHC, Bluetooth LE Audio, or Auracast.
The Mustang Dyno supports multipoint connectivity for up to two devices simultaneously and can be used as a headset for calls, with a mute function available during use. Fast charging is supported, and controls are handled through a panel placed directly on the earbuds rather than an in-line control setup. Voice prompts are included to assist with device feedback, and a travel bag comes in the box. Features such as ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, a find device function, notification reading, a body temperature sensor, and a camera remote shutter are not part of the feature set.
The Mustang Dyno is equipped with a quad-microphone setup, and the microphone system includes noise cancellation to help reduce unwanted background sound during calls.
