The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra has a non-folding, non-rugged form factor measuring 163 mm tall, 76.1 mm wide, and 8.3 mm thick, with a total volume of 102.96 cm³ and a weight of 233.5 g. It carries an IP68 ingress protection rating, classifying it as waterproof against dust and sustained water immersion under standard test conditions.

The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra features a 6.8″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1276 x 2848 px and a pixel density of 459 ppi, backed by a peak brightness of 2500 nits for strong visibility. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate with a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and it supports Always-On Display functionality along with branded damage-resistant glass. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no secondary screen.

The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 9010 chipset, built on a 7 nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration spanning 1 x 2.3, 4 x 2.18, and 3 x 1.55 GHz, with a turbo clock speed of 3.3 GHz and a TDP of 6W. It uses big.LITTLE technology, supports 64-bit processing, and includes integrated LTE and integrated graphics via a Mali-G57 GPU with DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2 support. The device comes with 16 GB of RAM running at 2750 MHz and a maximum memory bandwidth of 44 GB/s, though ECC memory is not supported. Cache is organized across 64 KB L1, 0.512 MB L2 (0.256 MB/core), and 4 MB L3 (2 MB/core) tiers, and the device ships with 1024 GB of internal storage. TrustZone is present for hardware-level security, and the AnTuTu benchmark score is recorded at 1,160,268.

The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra has a quad-lens rear camera system with sensors at 50, 50, 40, and 12.5 MP and corresponding apertures of f/1.6, f/2.4, f/2.2, and f/3.6, offering 9.4x optical zoom and optical image stabilization. The main camera uses a CMOS sensor (without back-side illumination) and supports both phase-detection and laser autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording. A dual-tone LED flash with two LEDs is present, though there is no RGB flash. Video recording reaches 2160p at 30 fps with slow-motion support, while HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not available. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, shutter speed, and white balance, and the camera also supports RAW capture, burst mode, in-camera panoramas, and timelapse — though 360° panorama and 3D recording are not included. The 13 MP front camera has an f/2.0 aperture and is a single-lens unit positioned on the front of the device rather than under the display, and it does not have a front-facing flash.

The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra includes a range of software features covering both usability and privacy. It supports multi-user operation, split-screen multitasking, widgets, voice commands, sharing intents, and customizable notifications, along with theme customization and dark mode. A child lock, phone tracking, and camera/microphone privacy options are also available, and the device includes a battery health check tool. It does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor, and it does not support AirPlay or desktop PC mode.

The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra houses a 5700 mAh rechargeable battery that is non-removable and includes a battery level indicator. Wired fast charging is supported at 100W, and a charger is included in the box. Wireless charging runs at 80W, while reverse wireless charging is also available at 20W, allowing the device to top up other compatible accessories.

The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra features stereo speakers and supports LDAC for high-quality wireless audio transmission via Bluetooth. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack, and the device does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, or aptX Lossless codecs. A built-in radio is also absent.

The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra supports 5G connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with Wi-Fi covering standards from Wi-Fi 4 through to Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be). Bluetooth 5.2 is on board alongside NFC, a USB Type-C port running at USB 3.1, and an infrared sensor. For navigation, it includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and barometer. A fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are absent. Emergency SOS via satellite is supported, but crash detection is not. External memory expansion, HDMI output, ANT+, a heart rate monitor, DLNA certification, a built-in projector, and a stylus are all absent from the feature set, and motion and optical tracking are likewise not included.

The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses no sapphire glass protection, and is not an e-paper panel.
