Lava Storm Play Lite 5G

The Lava Storm Play Lite 5G has a standard flat, non-folding form factor measuring 168.8 mm tall, 78.1 mm wide, and 8.3 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 109.42 cm³ and a weight of 196 g. It carries an IP64 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and resistant to water splashing from any direction, though it does not meet the threshold of a fully rugged build.

The display is a 6.75-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 px and a pixel density of 260 ppi, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for fluid on-screen motion. The panel does not feature branded damage-resistant glass, and there is no support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, nor does it offer an Always-On Display mode or a secondary screen.

The device is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7060 system-on-chip, fabricated on a 6 nm process and configured with an octa-core CPU using big.LITTLE technology — two performance cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and six efficiency cores at 2 GHz — alongside an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU running at 950 MHz with support for DirectX 12 and a single display output. The SoC includes integrated LTE and integrated graphics, supports 64-bit processing and multithreading, and is paired with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM operating at 2133 MHz, delivering a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.1 GB/s. Internal storage stands at 128 GB, and the overall configuration supports full 64-bit operation across all workloads.

The main camera system is a multi-lens setup built around a 50 MP CMOS sensor, capable of recording video at 1440 x 30 fps with continuous autofocus during recording, slow-motion support, and phase-detection autofocus for stills, though optical image stabilization and optical zoom are absent. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, and the camera also supports burst mode, touch autofocus, HDR, and in-camera panoramas, while RAW capture and manual shutter speed are not available. A single LED flash is present on the rear, with no dual-tone or RGB flash option, and the front camera offers 5 MP resolution as a single-lens unit without a dedicated flash, under-display placement, or HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording support; 3D photo and video capture is likewise not featured.

The device ships with Android 15, an open-source platform that supports multiple user accounts, voice commands with offline voice recognition, on-device machine learning, and phone tracking. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not included. Usability features are broad, covering dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications with a media picker, full-page scrolling screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, app offloading, sharing intents, a child lock, battery health check, extra dim mode, and the ability to play games while they download; Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, Quick Start, and the option to use the device as a PC are not supported, and OS updates do not come directly from the platform vendor.

The device is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 18W fast charging, and a battery level indicator is present to keep track of remaining charge. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported.

The device includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers for audio output, but does not feature a built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec standards — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

The device supports 5G connectivity alongside a cellular module, dual SIM capability, and Wi-Fi covering both Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) standards, with a maximum download speed of 3300 MBits/s. Bluetooth 5.2 is on board, and the USB Type-C port operates at USB 2.0 speeds, while NFC is not included. For location, GPS, Galileo, and a compass are all present, and the sensor suite includes an accelerometer, though a gyroscope, barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking are absent. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not featured; there is no stylus included, and additional capabilities such as HDMI output, DLNA certification, ANT+ support, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, and a built-in projector are likewise not available. External memory expansion is supported through a dedicated memory card slot.

The device includes a video light to assist with recording in low-light conditions, while the display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
