Oukitel WP55 Ultra

The Oukitel WP55 Ultra is built with a rugged construction and carries an IP69 ingress protection rating, with a waterproof depth tolerance of 1.5 meters, making it suited for wet and harsh environments. It is not a folding device, and its physical footprint comes in at 172.2 mm tall, 81 mm wide, and 15.3 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 213.41 cm³. The handset weighs 367 g, which reflects the reinforced build typical of rugged-category smartphones.

The Oukitel WP55 Ultra features a 6.58″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 px and a pixel density of 401 ppi, delivering a reasonably sharp image across its panel. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 for added resistance against scratches and impacts. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no secondary screen present on the device.

The Oukitel WP55 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset, built on a 6 nm process with a CPU configuration of 2 x 2.5 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz cores, supported by big.LITTLE architecture and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing. It comes with 12GB of DDR5 RAM running at 2750 MHz across 4 memory channels, a maximum memory bandwidth of 51.2 GB/s, and supports up to 16GB total, alongside 512GB of internal storage. The integrated IMG BXM-8-256 GPU runs at 900 MHz, features 18 shading units, and supports DirectX 12 and OpenCL 2. The chipset also includes integrated LTE, NX bit support, multithreading, and 64-bit capability. Benchmark results place the device at 488,970 on AnTuTu, 884 single-core and 2,291 multi-core on Geekbench 6, and 690 single-core and 1,890 multi-core on Geekbench 5.

The Oukitel WP55 Ultra features a triple rear camera system with 108 MP, 8 MP, and 5 MP sensors, using a CMOS sensor type and supporting phase-detection autofocus for photos as well as continuous autofocus during video recording. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, HDR, touch autofocus, and in-camera panorama shooting are also available; however, there is no optical image stabilization, no optical zoom, no slow-motion video recording, no RAW capture, no manual shutter speed, no timelapse, and no 360° panorama mode. The rear flash consists of a single LED unit without dual-tone or RGB configurations, and HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. On the front, a 32 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.2 aperture handles selfies, though it lacks its own flash and is not positioned under the display.

The Oukitel WP55 Ultra runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy and usability features. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not present. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, and an extra dim mode. It also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, app offloading, sharing intents, a child lock, multi-user accounts, and device tracking. Games can be played while downloading, and a battery health check tool is included; however, focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, direct OS vendor updates, and Quick Start are not available, and the device cannot be used as a PC.

The Oukitel WP55 Ultra is equipped with a 11000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 33W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for convenient monitoring, though the battery is not removable. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported.

The Oukitel WP55 Ultra includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers for audio output. On the wireless audio side, it does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC, and there is no built-in radio receiver.

The Oukitel WP55 Ultra supports 5G connectivity and is compatible with Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6 standards, with a maximum download speed of 2770 MBits/s. It accommodates two SIM cards, connects via Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC, and uses a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0. An external memory slot is available for expandable storage. For location and motion sensing, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer, though it lacks a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and ANT+ support. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner; 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. Features such as crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, DLNA certification, HDMI output, motion and optical tracking, a built-in projector, and a stylus are all absent.

The Oukitel WP55 Ultra includes a video light for use during video recording, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
