Oukitel WP62 5G

The Oukitel WP62 5G features a rugged build with an IP68 ingress protection rating, meaning it is fully waterproof and built to withstand harsh conditions. The device measures 172.2 mm in height, 81 mm in width, and 15.3 mm in thickness, with a total volume of 213.40746 cm³ and a weight of 370 g. It is a non-folding, solid-frame smartphone designed with durability as a primary consideration.

The Oukitel WP62 5G uses an OLED/AMOLED touchscreen measuring 6.58″ with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 px and a pixel density of 401 ppi, delivering a sharp and vibrant visual experience. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth on-screen motion, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 for added resistance against scratches and impacts. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no secondary screen.

The Oukitel WP62 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset, built on a 6 nm process with a CPU configuration of 2 x 2.5 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz cores using big.LITTLE architecture and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing. It is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 2750 MHz across 4 memory channels, a maximum memory bandwidth of 51.2 GB/s, and 512GB of internal storage. Graphics are handled by the IMG BXM-8-256 GPU clocked at 900 MHz, supporting DirectX 12, OpenCL 2, and 18 shading units, with integrated LTE also built into the SoC. The chipset supports 64-bit processing, multithreading, and the NX bit for hardware-level security. In benchmarks, the device scores 884 single-core and 2291 multi-core on Geekbench 6, and 690 single-core and 1890 multi-core on Geekbench 5.

The Oukitel WP62 5G features a triple-lens rear camera system with sensors at 108 MP, 8 MP, and 2 MP, built around a CMOS sensor with phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while additional shooting modes include HDR, panorama, slow-motion video, and timelapse. The rear camera has a flash, though there is no dual-tone LED flash, no BSI sensor, no optical image stabilization, no laser autofocus, and no optical zoom. RAW capture, 360° panorama, HDR10 recording, Dolby Vision recording, and 3D photo or video are not supported. On the front, a 32 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.2 aperture handles selfies, without a front-facing flash or an under-display placement.

The Oukitel WP62 5G runs Android 15, an open-source platform that supports multi-user operation, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, and app offloading. Privacy features include clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. Customization options extend to dynamic theming, theme customization, dark mode, an extra dim mode, and customizable notifications with granular notification permission controls. The OS also includes on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, full-page screenshots, a media picker, battery health check, a child lock, sharing intents, and device position tracking. Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, Quick Start, and the ability to use the phone as a PC are not supported, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Oukitel WP62 5G is equipped with a 11000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 33W wired fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, making it straightforward to monitor remaining charge. The battery is non-removable, and neither wireless charging nor reverse wireless charging is supported.

The Oukitel WP62 5G includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired audio connectivity and supports LDAC for high-quality Bluetooth audio transmission. Stereo speakers are not present, and the device does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, or aptX Lossless codecs. There is no built-in radio, and the specifications list no microphones.

The Oukitel WP62 5G supports 5G connectivity alongside dual SIM operation, Wi-Fi 4, 5, and 6, and Bluetooth 5.2, with a maximum download speed of 2770 MBits/s. It includes NFC, a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, and an external memory slot for expandable storage. Navigation is handled through GPS with Galileo support, and onboard sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass. Security relies on a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not available. The device does not feature a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, HDMI output, ANT+ support, DLNA certification, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, motion or optical tracking, a built-in projector, or a stylus.

The Oukitel WP62 5G includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
