The Roseselsa OpenFree use an open-ear fit and are fully true wireless, with no cables or neckband involved. They carry an IPX4 rating, making them resistant to sweat during activity, though wingtips are not included. Stereo speakers are built in, while RGB lighting, a UV light, and a display are all absent from the design.
The OpenFree use 10 mm drivers and cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, with an impedance of 32 Ohms. Neither active noise cancellation nor passive noise isolation is present, and the earbuds do not support spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, or Dirac Virtuo. A neodymium magnet is not included in the driver configuration.
The OpenFree earbuds have a 45 mAh rechargeable battery offering 10 hours of playback, and the 500 mAh charging case extends total usage to 42 hours. A full charge takes 2 hours, and a battery level indicator is built in to help track remaining power. Wireless charging and solar charging are not supported.
The OpenFree connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 meters and an audio latency of 20 ms. Supported audio codecs include LDAC, LDHC, and AAC, while the entire aptX family — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — is not supported. Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast are also absent, and neither fast pairing nor NFC pairing is available. USB Type-C is present for wired charging.
The OpenFree support multipoint connection for up to two devices simultaneously and can be used as a headset, with a mute function and voice prompts included. Fast charging is supported, and controls are handled via a panel on the device itself rather than an in-line control. A travel bag is included in the box. Ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, notification reading, a body temperature sensor, and a camera remote shutter function are all absent.
The OpenFree include a noise-canceling microphone, which helps reduce unwanted background sound during calls or voice input.
