The Technics EAH-AZ100 adopts a true wireless, in-ear design with no cables or neckband, and each earbud weighs just 11.8 g. The fit is a standard in-ear style without wingtips, and the earbuds carry an IPX4 ingress protection rating, making them sweat resistant for use during physical activity. They feature stereo speakers but include no RGB lighting, UV light, or display. Wingtips are not included in the package.
The EAH-AZ100 uses a 10 mm driver unit with an impedance of 16 Ohms and covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 40,000 Hz. Both active noise cancellation and passive noise reduction are supported, giving users two layers of sound isolation. The earbuds are compatible with spatial audio and include Dolby Atmos support, though Dirac Virtuo is not available. A neodymium magnet is not part of the driver configuration.
The EAH-AZ100 offers 12 hours of battery life per charge, which drops to 10 hours when active noise cancellation is enabled, and the charging case contributes an additional 18 hours. A full charge takes 2 hours, and the earbuds support wireless charging alongside wired charging via their rechargeable battery. A battery level indicator is included, so users can monitor remaining charge at a glance. Solar charging is not available on this model.
The EAH-AZ100 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 m and supports fast pairing for quick device setup. Supported audio codecs include LDAC, AAC, and Bluetooth LE Audio, while aptX in all its variants — including aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — are not supported, nor is LDHC or Auracast. The charging case uses USB Type-C, and NFC pairing is not available on this model.
The EAH-AZ100 includes a broad set of practical features, starting with multipoint connectivity for up to three devices simultaneously, ambient sound mode, and in-ear detection that automatically pauses playback when an earbud is removed. Fast charging is supported, and controls are handled through an on-device panel — there is no in-line control panel. The earbuds can be used as a headset and include a mute function, voice prompts, and a find-device feature for locating misplaced earbuds. A travel bag is included in the box, while notification readout, a body temperature sensor, and a camera remote shutter function are absent.
The EAH-AZ100 is equipped with six microphones in total, and the microphone system includes noise-canceling capability to help reduce background sound during calls and voice use.
The EAH-AZ100 supports Dolby Audio.
