It weighs 195 g and occupies a total volume of approximately 101.76 cm³. On the durability front, the phone carries an IP64 rating, meaning it offers protection against dust and water splashes, though it does not feature a fully rugged build.

The Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G uses an OLED/AMOLED touch screen measuring 6.78″ with a resolution of 1224 x 2720 px and a pixel density of 440 ppi, delivering a sharp and vibrant visual experience. The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother motion, and it includes an Always-On Display mode that keeps basic information visible without fully waking the screen. The display does not feature branded damage-resistant glass, and it does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision. There is no secondary screen on this device.

The Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, built on a 4 nm process with 6,200 million transistors and an 8-thread CPU configuration running at 4 x 2.5 GHz and 4 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support. The SoC includes integrated LTE, integrated graphics via the Mali G615 MC2 GPU clocked at 1047 MHz with support for one display and DirectX 12, and operates in 64-bit mode. The device comes with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 6400 MHz — expandable up to a maximum of 16 GB — alongside 256 GB of internal storage. In benchmark testing, it achieves an AnTuTu score of 676,261, a Geekbench 6 single-core result of 1026, and a multi-core result of 2932.

The Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G features a dual-lens rear camera system with 64 MP and 8 MP sensors, using a CMOS sensor with phase-detection autofocus for photos and continuous autofocus during video recording. The rear setup includes two flash LEDs, though it does not offer a dual-tone flash, RGB flash, laser autofocus, or optical image stabilization, and there is no optical zoom available. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, HDR, touch autofocus, panorama, slow-motion video, and timelapse are all supported; however, RAW shooting, manual shutter speed, 360° panorama, HDR10 recording, Dolby Vision recording, and 3D capture are not available. On the front, a single 13 MP camera handles selfies — it is a single-lens setup with no LED flash and is positioned conventionally rather than under the display.

The Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera/microphone access management, though it does not offer Mail Privacy Protection or cross-site tracking blocking. Users can customize the interface through theme customization and dynamic theming, and the OS supports dark mode, an extra dim mode, widgets, and split-screen multitasking. Additional usability features include Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, customizable notifications, notification permission controls, a child lock, multi-user support, app offloading, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. On the intelligence side, the device supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text for selecting text from images, and phone tracking. It does not support Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, Quick Start, or desktop PC mode, and OS updates are not delivered directly from the OS vendor.

The Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G is equipped with a 6000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports both wired fast charging at 45W and wireless charging at 30W, giving users flexible options for topping up. A battery level indicator is included, and the device does not have a removable battery. Reverse wireless charging is not supported, so the phone cannot be used to wirelessly charge other devices.

Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not featured. The device does not include crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, DLNA certification, motion or optical tracking, a built-in projector, or a stylus.

The Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
