The Vivo TWS Air 3 adopts a standard earbud fit and operates as a true wireless design, meaning there are no cables or neckband involved. Each earbud weighs just 7.2 g and features stereo speaker output, keeping the form factor light and unobtrusive. For durability, the earbuds carry an IP54 rating, making them sweat resistant — a practical consideration for active use. Wingtips are not included, and there is no RGB lighting, UV light, or display on the earbuds themselves.
The Vivo TWS Air 3 uses a 12 mm driver unit and covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, spanning the full standard audible spectrum. Spatial audio is supported, adding a sense of dimensional depth to playback. The earbuds do not include active noise cancellation or passive noise isolation, and there is no Dolby Atmos, Dirac Virtuo, or neodymium magnet technology on board.
The Vivo TWS Air 3 offers 10 hours of battery life on a single charge, with the charging case extending the total available runtime to 35 hours. A full charge takes 2 hours, and the earbuds feature a battery level indicator so users can keep track of remaining power. The battery is rechargeable, though wireless charging and solar power are not supported.
The Vivo TWS Air 3 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 6, with a maximum range of 10 m and an audio latency of 33 ms. USB Type-C is available for wired charging, and the earbuds can be used entirely wirelessly during playback. Advanced audio codecs including LDAC, LDHC, AAC, and the full aptX family are not supported, nor is Bluetooth LE Audio or Auracast. Additional pairing features such as fast pairing and NFC pairing are also absent.
The Vivo TWS Air 3 supports multipoint connection to two devices simultaneously and can be used as a headset for calls, with a mute function available during use. Fast charging is supported, and a travel bag is included in the box. Controls are placed on the device itself, and voice prompts provide audio feedback, though there is no in-line control panel. Ambient sound mode, notification reading, a built-in translator, a temperature sensor, and a camera remote shutter function are not part of the feature set.
The Vivo TWS Air 3 is equipped with a noise-canceling microphone, which helps reduce background noise during calls and voice input.
