Honor 400 Smart 5G

The Honor 400 Smart 5G has a conventional, non-folding design measuring 166.9 mm tall, 76.8 mm wide, and 8.4 mm thick, with a weight of 189 g and a total volume of 107.67 cm³. It carries an IP65 rating, confirming resistance to dust and low-pressure water jets, so while it handles everyday splashes and light exposure to the elements, it does not have a rugged-grade build. The device is not designed to fold, keeping it within the standard smartphone form factor.

The Honor 400 Smart 5G features a 6.77″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1610 px and a pixel density of 261 ppi, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother on-screen motion. The panel does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen. It also lacks branded damage-resistant glass, and the device has a single-screen form factor with no additional display panel.

The Honor 400 Smart 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, a 6 nm SoC with an octa-core CPU arranged in a big.LITTLE configuration running at 2 x 2.3 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz, with a turbo ceiling of 2.3 GHz, an 8-thread pipeline, a front-end width of 3, and a TDP of 4W. Graphics are handled by the integrated Adreno 619 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chip supports 64-bit processing, HMP, TrustZone, NX bit, and 128-bit NEON execution, while integrated LTE is built directly into the SoC. 8GB of DDR4 RAM runs at 2133 MHz across two memory channels with a maximum bandwidth of 17 GB/s, and storage consists of 256GB on an eMMC 5.1 interface; the chip does not support simultaneous multithreading.

The rear camera system on the Honor 400 Smart 5G uses a dual-lens configuration combining a 50 MP sensor at f/2.4 and a 2 MP sensor at f/1.8, both using CMOS technology, though neither features a back-illuminated sensor or optical image stabilization. The Honor 400 Smart 5G runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera and microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. App tracking can be blocked, and on-device machine learning is supported. The interface offers theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes and Quick Start are absent. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, customizable notifications, and the ability to play games while they download. Offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, app offloading, widgets, a child lock, multi-user support, and phone tracking are all present. The device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor and cannot be used as a PC. Wi-Fi password sharing is also not supported. The OS is free and open source, and a battery health check tool is included.

The Honor 400 Smart 5G houses a 6500 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 35W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status. The battery is not removable, and the device does not support wireless charging or reverse wireless charging.

The Honor 400 Smart 5G includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers for versatile audio output. Bluetooth audio codec support covers aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC, enabling higher-quality wireless audio transmission, though aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless are not supported. The device does not have a built-in radio.

The Honor 400 Smart 5G includes a video light to assist with illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
