The Huawei FreeArc adopts an open-ear fit and true wireless design, meaning there are no cables or neckband to contend with, and wingtips are included to help keep the earbuds securely in place. Weighing just 17.8 g, the physical build stays light, while stereo speakers are present on both sides. Protection-wise, the earbuds carry an IP57 rating, confirming they are waterproof and resistant to dust ingress. There is no RGB lighting, UV light, or built-in display.
The Huawei FreeArc covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20000 Hz, spanning the full extent of standard human hearing. The earbuds do not include active noise cancellation or passive noise reduction, so ambient sound passes through freely — consistent with the open-ear design. There is no support for spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, or Dirac Virtuo, and no neodymium magnet is present in the driver configuration.
The Huawei FreeArc earbuds are equipped with a rechargeable 55 mAh battery that delivers up to 7 hours of battery life per charge, while the charging case holds a 510 mAh cell capable of extending total playback to 21 hours. A full charge takes approximately 1 hour, and a battery level indicator is on hand to keep track of remaining power. The earbuds do not support wireless charging or solar charging, so recharging is handled exclusively via a wired connection.
The Huawei FreeArc connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.2 with a stated maximum range of 10 m, and supports the AAC codec for audio transmission. Charging is handled through a USB Type-C port. Fast pairing, NFC pairing, and Auracast are not supported, and the earbuds do not include any aptX variants — covering aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — nor do they support LDAC, LDHC, or Bluetooth LE Audio.
The Huawei FreeArc supports multipoint connection to two devices simultaneously and includes in-ear detection that can automatically pause playback when the earbuds are removed. Fast charging is supported, and the earbuds can function as a headset, with a mute function and device-based control panel available for call and playback management. Voice prompts are present, and a travel bag is included in the box. On the other hand, the earbuds do not offer an ambient sound mode, notification reading, an in-line control panel, a body temperature sensor, or a built-in camera remote shutter function.
The Huawei FreeArc is equipped with a noise-canceling microphone, which works to reduce unwanted background sound during calls and voice input.
