It carries an IP65 ingress protection rating, making it water resistant and capable of handling splashes and dust without issue.

The Huawei Nova 14 features a 6.7″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1084 x 2412 px and a pixel density of 395 ppi, delivering a sharp and vibrant visual experience. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate paired with a 300Hz touch sampling rate for responsive interaction, and the Always-On Display function keeps key information visible at a glance. The panel supports HDR10 and is protected by branded damage-resistant glass, though it does not support HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or a secondary screen.

The Huawei Nova 14 is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 8000 chipset, built on a 5 nm process with a CPU configuration of 1 x 2.2 GHz, 3 x 1.5 GHz, and 4 x 2.0 GHz cores, supported by big.LITTLE technology, multithreading, and a thermal design power of 6W. Graphics are handled by the integrated Maleoon 910 GPU running at 750 MHz, while integrated LTE is also baked into the SoC. The device comes with 12 GB of LPDDR4 RAM clocked at 2200 MHz — expandable up to a maximum of 16 GB — alongside 512 GB of internal storage, and it records an AnTuTu benchmark score of 521,000. The platform is fully 64-bit compatible and supports multithreading across all cores.

The Huawei Nova 14 features a triple rear camera system with 50 MP (f/1.9), 12 MP (f/2.4), and 8 MP (f/2.2) lenses, all backed by a CMOS sensor, optical image stabilization, and 3x optical zoom. Focusing options are comprehensive, covering laser autofocus, phase-detection autofocus, continuous autofocus during video, and touch autofocus, while manual controls extend to exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance — though manual shutter speed is not available. Video capture reaches up to 2160p at 30 fps with slow-motion support, and the camera also handles RAW shooting, burst mode, HDR, timelapse, and in-camera panoramas, but does not support 360° panorama, HDR10 recording, Dolby Vision recording, or 3D capture. Dark mode is supported for comfortable low-light use, though the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor and cannot be used as a PC.

The Huawei Nova 14 is equipped with a 5500 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 100W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator keeps the user informed of remaining charge at a glance, though wireless charging is not supported.

The Huawei Nova 14 delivers audio through stereo speakers and supports both aptX and LDAC for high-quality wireless audio transmission over Bluetooth, though aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Lossless are not available. The device does not include a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and there is no built-in radio.
