Oppo A5i Pro

The Oppo A5i Pro has a conventional, non-folding form factor measuring 165.7 mm tall, 76.2 mm wide, and just 8 mm thick, with a total volume of 101.01 cm³ and a weight of 193 g. It carries an IP65 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, though it does not meet the threshold for a fully rugged build.

The Oppo A5i Pro features a 6.67″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1604 px and a pixel density of 264 ppi, paired with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input. Typical brightness reaches 850 nits, and the panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i for added resistance to scratches and drops. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or Always-On functionality, and there is no secondary screen.

The Oppo A5i Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, a 4 nm octa-core SoC configured as four cores at 2.2 GHz and four at 1.8 GHz across 8 threads, with big.LITTLE and HMP scheduling for efficient workload distribution and a TDP of 7W. It is paired with 8 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 2750 MHz across two memory channels with a maximum bandwidth of 22 GB/s, alongside 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage and support for up to 12 GB total memory. Graphics are handled by the integrated Adreno 710 GPU clocked at 800 MHz, offering 128 shading units, DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2 support. The chipset also features integrated LTE, ARM TrustZone security, 64-bit support, 256 KB L1 cache, 2 MB each of L2 and L3 cache, and records Geekbench 6 scores of 943 single-core and 2748 multi-core.

The Oppo A5i Pro sports a dual-lens rear camera system combining a 50 MP primary sensor at f/1.8 and a 2 MP secondary lens at f/2.4, both using CMOS technology, with optical image stabilization, phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording. There is no BSI sensor, laser autofocus, or optical zoom. Video capture tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, with slow-motion recording supported but no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while shooting modes include HDR, burst, panorama, and timelapse; raw capture and manual shutter speed are not available. A single LED flash accompanies the rear cameras — not dual-tone or RGB — and the front-facing 5 MP camera (f/2.2) is a single-lens unit with no flash and is not positioned under the display.

The Oppo A5i Pro runs Android 16 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera and microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not present. Customization options span dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, and extra dim mode, while productivity is supported through split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. The OS also offers on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, live text selection from images, customizable and permission-based notifications, app offloading, a child lock, multi-user support, and device tracking. A battery health check tool is included as well. Features not available include focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and the ability to use the device as a PC; OS updates are not delivered directly from the vendor.

The Oppo A5i Pro is equipped with a 6000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 45W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for at-a-glance monitoring. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported.

The Oppo A5i Pro includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and two microphones, but relies on a single speaker rather than a stereo setup, and there is no built-in radio. For Bluetooth audio, the device supports aptX, while higher-tier codecs — aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC — are not available.

The Oppo A5i Pro supports Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5, and NFC, with a USB Type-C port running at USB 2.0 and a dual-SIM cellular module capable of download speeds up to 2900 Mbits/s and upload speeds up to 900 Mbits/s; 5G is not supported. Navigation is covered by GPS, Galileo, and a compass, while onboard sensors include a gyroscope and an accelerometer. A fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication — 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are absent — and there is no infrared sensor, barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, or built-in projector. The device does not offer an external memory slot, HDMI output, DLNA certification, satellite SOS, crash detection, or motion and optical tracking, and no stylus is included.

The Oppo A5i Pro features a video light for use during video recording, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor e-paper technology.
