It carries an IP64 rating, meaning it offers protection against dust and water splashing from any direction, making it water resistant in everyday conditions.

The Tecno Pova 7 Ultra 5G features a touchscreen OLED/AMOLED display measuring 6.67″ with a resolution of 1260 x 2800 px and a pixel density of 460 ppi. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate paired with a 240Hz touch sampling rate, contributing to responsive on-screen interactions. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision. There is no secondary screen on this device.

The Tecno Pova 7 Ultra 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, built on a 4 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at speeds of 1 x 3.35 GHz, 3 x 3.2 GHz, and 4 x 2.2 GHz using big.LITTLE and HMP technology. It comes with 12 GB of DDR5 RAM at 8533 MHz, supports up to 24 GB of maximum memory across 4 channels, and offers 256 GB of internal storage. Graphics are handled by the Mali G615 MC6 GPU clocked at 1400 MHz, with integrated graphics, DirectX 12 support, OpenCL 2.0, and a maximum memory bandwidth of 68.2 GB/s. The chipset records an AnTuTu score of 1,530,000, a Geekbench 6 multi-core score of 4700, and a single-core score of 1536. Additional platform features include a 4 MB L3 cache, NX bit, TrustZone security, integrated LTE, and full 64-bit support.

Privacy features include clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and app tracking blocking, though Mail Privacy Protection, cross-site tracking blocking, and Wi-Fi password sharing are not available. The OS also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and device position tracking. Customization options cover theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, extra dim mode, and customizable notifications, while focus modes and Quick Start are absent. Additional utilities include a media picker, full-page screenshots, Live Text, battery health check, app offloading, and a child lock, though direct OS vendor updates and the ability to use the device as a PC are not supported.

The Tecno Pova 7 Ultra 5G is equipped with a 6000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 70W wired fast charging as well as 30W wireless charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, and the device does not support reverse wireless charging.

The Tecno Pova 7 Ultra 5G includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers, covering the basics for wired audio and built-in playback. Features such as emergency SOS via satellite, crash detection, ANT+ support, and a built-in projector are also absent, and no stylus is included.

The Tecno Pova 7 Ultra 5G includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
