Blackview Xplore 2 5G

The Blackview Xplore 2 5G features a rugged build designed to withstand harsh environments, carrying an IP69 ingress protection rating with a waterproof depth tolerance of 1.5 m. It measures 186 mm in height, 87.8 mm in width, and 29 mm in thickness, resulting in a total volume of 473.59 cm³. The device weighs 670 g and does not support a folding form factor.

The Blackview Xplore 2 5G uses an OLED/AMOLED touchscreen measuring 6.73″ with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 px and a pixel density of 521 ppi, delivering a sharp and detailed image. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 for added durability. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or Always-On Display functionality, and there is no secondary screen present.

The Blackview Xplore 2 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, built on a 4 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at speeds of 1 x 3.35 GHz, 3 x 3 GHz, and 4 x 2.2 GHz using big.LITTLE and HMP technologies. It comes with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM operating at 8533 MHz across 4 memory channels, a maximum supported memory amount of 24 GB, and a maximum memory bandwidth of 68.2 GB/s, alongside 1024 GB of internal storage. Graphics are handled by the Mali G615 MP6 GPU clocked at 1400 MHz, with support for DirectX 12 and OpenCL 2. The chipset includes 1 MB of L2 cache, 4 MB of L3 cache at 4 MB per core, and a TDP of 6W. It supports 64-bit processing, NX bit, TrustZone, and integrated graphics. Benchmark results stand at an AnTuTu score of 1,479,000, a Geekbench 6 multi-core score of 4610, and a single-core score of 1485.

The Blackview Xplore 2 5G features a triple rear camera system with 50 MP, 50 MP, and 20 MP sensors, using a CMOS sensor type without a back-illuminated sensor. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus for photos, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, while laser autofocus is not present. The rear camera is backed by a dual-tone LED flash with two LEDs, and supports HDR mode, burst shooting, manual exposure, manual ISO, manual focus, manual white balance, and in-camera panoramas, though it lacks optical image stabilization, optical zoom, manual shutter speed, slow-motion recording, RAW output, timelapse, HDR10 recording, Dolby Vision recording, 360° panorama, and 3D capture. On the front, a single 50 MP camera is available without a front-facing flash, a multi-lens configuration, or an under-display placement.

The Blackview Xplore 2 5G runs Android 15, an open-source platform that supports multi-user access, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and device tracking. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not included. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, extra dim mode, and customizable notifications, while focus modes and Wi-Fi password sharing are absent. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, Live Text, sharing intents, app offloading, the ability to play games while downloading, and a child lock. Direct OS vendor updates and Quick Start are not supported, and the device cannot be used as a PC.

The Blackview Xplore 2 5G is equipped with a 20000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 120W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status. The battery is not removable, and neither wireless charging nor reverse wireless charging is supported.

The Blackview Xplore 2 5G includes a 3.5 mm audio jack and stereo speakers for wired headphone connectivity and dual-channel audio output. It does not support any advanced Bluetooth audio codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC, and there is no built-in radio receiver.

The Blackview Xplore 2 5G supports 5G cellular connectivity alongside dual SIM capability, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and Wi-Fi across multiple standards including Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, and Wi-Fi 6E. It offers a USB Type-C port running USB 3.0, an external memory slot for storage expansion, and theoretical download and upload speeds of 7900 Mbits/s and 4200 Mbits/s respectively. For sensors and navigation, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, barometer, and infrared sensor, while a fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication. It does not support 3D facial recognition, iris scanning, ANT+, DLNA, HDMI output, motion tracking, optical tracking, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, heart rate monitoring, and no stylus or built-in projector is included.

The Blackview Xplore 2 5G includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device does not feature sapphire glass protection or an e-paper display.
