Xiaomi Poco F7

The Xiaomi Poco F7 has a conventional, non-folding form factor measuring 163.1 mm tall, 77.9 mm wide, and 8.2 mm thick, with a total weight of 215.7 g. It carries an IP68 ingress protection rating, meaning the device is fully waterproof against dust and water immersion under standard conditions. The build is not classified as rugged, so while it offers solid environmental protection through its IP certification, it is not designed for heavy-duty or extreme-use scenarios.

The Poco F7 features a 6.83″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 2772 px and a pixel density of 447 ppi, delivering sharp and detailed visuals. The panel refreshes at 120Hz with a touch sampling rate of 480Hz, and maintains a typical brightness of 700 nits alongside an impressive contrast ratio of 8,000,000:1. It supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision for wide-ranging content compatibility, and an Always-On Display mode is available for at-a-glance information. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i for damage resistance, and there is no secondary screen on the device.

The Poco F7 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a 4 nm octa-core chip with a CPU configuration of 3 x 3.01 GHz, 2 x 2.8 GHz, 2 x 2.02 GHz, and 1 x 3.21 GHz, running 8 threads with big.LITTLE technology and multithreading support. It scores 2,084,535 on AnTuTu and achieves Geekbench 6 results of 2041 single-core and 6833 multi-core, with graphics handled by the Adreno 825 GPU clocked at 1150 MHz, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.3, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, across a single display output with 3 execution units. The device comes with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 4800 MHz and a maximum supported memory of 24GB, offering up to 76.8 GB/s memory bandwidth, alongside 512GB of internal storage with eMMC 5.1, backed by 6 MB L2 and 8 MB L3 cache. Additional platform features include integrated LTE, integrated graphics, TrustZone security, 64-bit support, and a thermal design power of 12.5W, with OpenVG 1.2 also supported.

The Poco F7 features a dual-lens rear camera system with a 50 MP primary sensor at f/1.5 and an 8 MP secondary lens at f/2.2, with pixel sizes of 1.12 µm and 0.8 µm respectively, covering a focal range of 15 mm to 26 mm. The main camera uses a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination and supports optical image stabilization, phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is not present. Video capture reaches up to 4K at 60 fps, with slow-motion recording also available, while HDR mode, RAW capture, burst mode, panorama, timelapse, manual exposure, manual ISO, manual focus, and manual white balance are all supported; manual shutter speed, however, is not. The rear flash uses two LED units but is neither dual-tone nor RGB. On the front, a single-lens 20 MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture handles selfies, without a front flash, under-display placement, or a secondary front lens, and video recording from the front does not support HDR10 or Dolby Vision; 3D photo and video capture is also absent.

The Poco F7 runs on Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. The software supports theme customization and dynamic theming, dark mode, extra dim mode, widgets, and customizable notifications with granular notification permission controls, while focus modes and Quick Start are absent. Productivity-oriented features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, Live Text selection from images, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. The system also offers on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, multi-user support, a child lock, app offloading, Wi-Fi password sharing, and a battery health check tool, though OS updates are not delivered directly from the vendor and the device cannot function as a PC.

The Poco F7 is equipped with a 6500 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 90W wired fast charging, allowing for quick top-ups when needed. A battery level indicator is present to keep the user informed of remaining charge. Wireless charging is not supported, and a charger is not included in the box.

The Poco F7 includes stereo speakers for built-in audio output and supports a strong lineup of Bluetooth audio codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and LDAC, enabling high-quality wireless audio transmission; aptX Lossless, however, is not supported. The device does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack, so wired headphones require an adapter or a USB-C connection, and there is no built-in FM radio.

The Poco F7 supports 5G cellular connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with download speeds reaching 4200 Mbits/s and upload speeds up to 3500 Mbits/s. Wireless networking covers Wi-Fi 4 through Wi-Fi 7 (802.11n/ac/ax/be), and Bluetooth 6 is on board alongside NFC for short-range communication; there is no external memory slot, HDMI output, or DLNA certification. The device connects via USB Type-C with USB 2.0, and sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, GPS with Galileo support, an infrared sensor, and a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, while a barometer, heart rate monitor, iris scanner, and 3D facial recognition are all absent. Crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, ANT+, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are likewise not featured, and no stylus is included.

The Poco F7 includes a video light to assist with illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
