Xiaomi Poco X7

The Xiaomi Poco X7 has a conventional, non-folding form factor measuring 162.3 × 74.4 mm with a thickness of 8.4 mm and a total volume of 101.43 cm³. It weighs 185.5 g and holds an IP68 ingress protection rating, confirming full waterproof capability under standard test conditions. The device does not feature a rugged build, so while it handles water exposure well, it is not designed for heavy-duty environmental stress.

The Poco X7 uses an OLED/AMOLED touchscreen measuring 6.67″ with a resolution of 1220 x 2712 px and a pixel density of 446 ppi. The panel runs at a 120Hz refresh rate with a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and reaches a typical brightness of 1200 nits backed by a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, and the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Always-On Display is available, though there is no secondary screen.

The Poco X7 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, a 4 nm chipset with 6,200 million transistors, an 8-thread CPU clocked at 4 x 2.5 GHz and 4 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support, and integrated LTE. Graphics are handled by the Mali G615 MC2 GPU running at 1047 MHz, which supports DirectX 12 and drives a single display. The device ships with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 6400 MHz and 512 GB of internal storage, with a maximum supported memory of 16 GB. Benchmark results show an AnTuTu score of 728,840, a Geekbench 6 single-core result of 1,026, and a multi-core result of 2,932, all under a 64-bit environment.

The Poco X7 features a multi-lens rear camera system with three sensors rated at 50 MP, 8 MP, and 2 MP, with apertures of f/1.5, f/2.2, and f/2.4 respectively, all using CMOS technology without a back-illuminated sensor. The main camera supports 4K video recording at 30 fps with HDR10, continuous autofocus, slow-motion video, and phase-detection autofocus for stills, though optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, and Dolby Vision recording are absent. There is no optical zoom, and the two LED flash units do not form a dual-tone or RGB configuration. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, touch autofocus, panorama, and timelapse are also on board; raw shooting and manual shutter speed are not supported. The 20 MP single-lens front camera sits in a standard position above the display — not under it — and has an f/2.2 aperture with no dedicated flash.

The Poco X7 runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera/microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. App tracking can be blocked, and on-device machine learning is supported. The interface offers theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes and app offloading are absent. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, customizable notifications, and the ability to play games while they download. Multi-user support is present alongside a child lock, widgets, voice commands with offline recognition, phone tracking, battery health check, and Live Text. OS updates do not come directly from the vendor, Wi-Fi password sharing is not supported, and Quick Start is unavailable.

The Poco X7 is equipped with a 5110 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 90W wired fast charging, with a charger included in the box. Wireless charging is not available. A battery level indicator is present, giving users a straightforward way to monitor remaining charge.

The Poco X7 features stereo speakers and supports several high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC, though aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless are not available. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Poco X7 supports 5G connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with download and upload speeds reaching 3270 Mbit/s. Wi-Fi covers versions 4, 5, and 6 (802.11n/ac/ax), and Bluetooth 5.4 is on board alongside NFC. The USB Type-C port operates at USB 2.0, and there is no external memory slot, HDMI output, or DLNA certification. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner; 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present, and no stylus is included. Sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, GPS with Galileo support, and an infrared sensor, while a barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, and motion or optical tracking are all absent. Crash detection and emergency SOS via satellite are likewise not available.

The Poco X7 includes a curved display and a video light, while sapphire glass and an e-paper display are not part of its design.
